Tyrone gave one of the really great team performances in 2005 and I remember Kerry manager at the time Jack O'Connor likened it to being caught in a spider's web. Tyrone were a team on a mission not just to beat Kerry in an All Ireland final but to honour the memory of Cormac McAnallen and they did so in great style. Only a special type of curmudgeon would try and take away from their achievement.
Tyrone raised the intensity bar in 03, fair play to them on that. 08 was a battle, they won fair and square. We took the defeats like men and moved on. There's no reason why Gooch getting the poke in the eye cannot be discussed. It was a critical moment in the battle. If you want to ignore it, fair enough.
What was your predictions in 00, 04, 06, 07 and 09?
Legendzxix The like of Gooch getting pocked should not happen but let's be honest Nicholas Murphy should not have got walloped either in 09 Plus the player that done it admitted he was more or less going to nail an opposing player. Things like these should not happen in any game but unfortunately they do. That's one thing I did admire about Dublin in the semi , they play very fair and clean. I also know you are good sportsmen and if we loose Sunday I hope all Donegal folk salute and admire Kerry for their achievements this year. Sam's nightmare scenario for the Kingdom is a reflection of the confidence in Donegal and represents the magnitude of the task ahead of Kerry. Donegal are going to be a difficult opponent no doubt. Sure look we'll gather up some group of footballers and send them up to Croker in the hope they'll give it their best shot. Ciarraí abú!

1652361 As my Kerry friends on here will know - I predicted Tyrone to beat the Kingdom in 2005 and 2008 and Dublin to beat Kerry in 2011. I expect to be on team 'I told you so!' yet again on Sunday evening. ;-) Donegal will WIN and win well, my guess at a score....

When I read that and other predictions, I gained in confidence. It was always going to be a close game. I actually did have that nightmare! The morning of the All-Ireland I woke from a dream where I was watching the highlights on the Sunday Game following a Kerry win! When I woke I was like, I need to watch in back on the RTE player! The reality then set in the game was played yet and I was soon making the trip to the capital. I was confident the dream would come through. I put my money on a Kerry double. Dreams can come through. Commiserations on the defeat. It's tough and we have been through it. Our counties will lock horns in battle again.
