Joncarter I don't disagree with what you are saying about clubs spending money frivolously. But this whole debate started over Tipp getting 50k to cover a three week extension to the season and all-ireland final weekend.

My first post, an irate one given what we witnessed 10 days ago. Seems to be two different trends here, one with regards to clubs/counties spending money frivolously and the other rewarding 3% to two counties for an extra 3 weeks to help provide/promote the same entertainment yet again. 50k if I had it to spare, I'd provide myself. Similar to the article by John Murphy, people make fleeting remarks based on hearsay..i have no idea but Tipp spending 100k on a training session in 2010 seems to be including to digits extra!!
