Beggan is a fine player, but if he gets the All Star, Donegal will have had a really bad day in the final.

I feel Christy Toye deserves an All star. Our best player today when we didn't perform to the levels we know we can. Immense against Derry and Dublin, and great games against Antrim and Monaghan. Overall, more consistent than Ryan mchugh, who had 2 exceptional games, but a few games where he was non existant

Kerry will get about 5/6 All-stars because they won. Donegal will 3/4 because they got to the final. Dublin will get 2 and Mayo will get 2 and a random county that got to a quarter final will get 1.

That is how is works, All-stars are not given to the best players, they are flawed and are given to the teams that went furthest in the championship. Dublin should have the most all-stars but they won't cause the lost in the semi-final.

Also it doesn't matter if you scored 3 goals in every game or kept every guy you marked scoreless - if your team didn't make at least the 1/4 finals, forget it.

All stars are team awards not individual awards.

The GPA all-stars are the genuine ones.
