Tomás Ó'Sé comments on Donegal?

For anybody that watches Seó Spóirt, will know that he has mentioned this a couple of times throughout the year.

In a way, Kerry have adopted a few facets of our game into their own.

If you take Joe Brollys inherent nastiness away from the programme it would be a lot more enjoyable. I love the way guys like Dermot Earley and Ciaran Whelan can disagree with one another without getting personal.
Brolly was talking about Colm o Rourkes financial problems a few weeks ago on air. Nothing to do with football and there was no need for it.

Tomas o Se himself is a good analyst. I think he worked really well with Mchugh and Mcstay last sunday. They all came across as sound lads (even if McStay was still visibly upset with the ref) who just wanted to talk football.
It was far more enjoyable than watching Brolly. o rourke and spillane try to score points off of one another.

@ DL17 - I'm not entirely sure regards the facets of ye're game being adopted. Possibly debatable I guess. I suppose All-Ireland champions in fairness do set a trend in some respects. Tyrone were awesome against us in the '03 semi-final and deservedly went on to win the All-Ireland. I didn't foresee us winning an All-Ireland for years following on from that game. In fairness Jack O'Connor came in and the squad at the time responded to the new challenge, raised their game to the standard set and went on to win 4 of the next 6 All-Irelands.

In '12 Jack O'Connor accepted that Donegal had our measure. Donegal were awesome in '12 and deservedly went on to win the All-Ireland. With all our experience of winning and losing All-Irelands, as there was in 1992, there was huge respect for Donegal's achievements.

Unlike some from outside of Ulster, I enjoyed the battle of the Ulster final. I fancied Donegal all year, while the capital hype was built up, to come through the B side. The A and B sides will now merge and we should be in for a cracking final.

He's a decent enough pundit and if it happened during a Tyrone match then it's fair enough to say who he was playing. Didn't think that was a dig but did think there was a veiled dig at Ulster football and the possession, handpasing game when he said "it is football after all" when talking about kick passing.

He is a good pundit. He certainly knows football and he is fair. However, like most RTE analysts he seems to know a lot about players from stronger teams and almost nothing about players from the weaker counties. When asked about qualifier games in earlier rounds most comments are fairly banal. Then again given RTE's dismal coverage of certain games, why would he bother his backside doing any research? Most of the others are not much better.

Ciaran Whelan is my personal favourite from the present crew. I thought Anthony Tohill was the best football analyst that the show has ever had.

Personally, I would not have any of them on TV. TG$ highlight show has none of anybody's guffawing I would have no co-commentators either (I stream soccer games in the German language and they frequently do without these 'experts' and in my opinion, a commentator calling the action in real time without a co-commentator telling me again what I have just seen is much more refreshing).

i think that was a dig against teams in general who dont do enough kicking county man more so than a dig at ulster or anything..lots of teams all over the country do things that way...arguably tyrone at their best would be the second best side in terms of kick passing to kerry or certainly in recent years
