Donegal v Kerry

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Exactly, cool the jets Muckross! I wish the game was starting in an hour, not 25 hours!

With all the talk of Donegal's impressive defensive system, an important part of tomorrow's battle will be can Kerry curb Donegal's dangerous goal threat? People talk of Star but Donegal might have more of a need of goals. Take your point and the goals will come.

Safe travelling to all from both the south-west and north-west. I'll be making the trip in the morning. May the best team win. Ciarrai abu!

Muckrosshead you might hear from them after 5.10 pm for them to give you your answer, our belief in our ability and in our tradition gives us our belief, what gives you your belief, if you don't have belief, what do you have, you have a loser, so enough of the thinly veiled hubris, coming from a county with 36 all-Irelands entitles one to harbour confidence in ones team, it will be a monumental achievement to overcome Donegal but we have to believe, without it you will win nothing.

mic,

There is nothing thinly veiled about my hubris. When I decide to deploy it as a weapon it is 100%.

My sad effort at a bit of levity obviously needs a bit more work..........

Heading up in the morning, the nerves are well shot listening to all the pundits talking up Kerry and no doubt they are a great team, but we have the players and a brilliant manager to beat them,Donegal by 4 points I reckon,I'm confident Sam wand Tom will be in Donegal town Monday night,
Safe travelling to all and have a great day, hope it's a good sporting game and the ref has a good day,

And Muckross, disregard that number 3 under my number of posts. I was here in the height of the Ballboy era. Just been too busy since.

I suppose if someone had said Donegal would be Dublin by 4 or 5 points they would also have been asked to think very carefully.

Sincerely wish Donegal a great match but if ye win, yes I'll be disappointed.

Don't think Fitzmaurice will be as naive as JG on Sunday, hard to call it, but I'm going with Kerry, better odds too :D

Good luck to both sides today, really looking forward to this final.Overall I think Kerry have more talented players, but Donegal have unbelievable character, committment and everyone knows their job.I honestly cannot call this, far too many ifs and buts.

Well it will hardly be Surprising 'that I will be Tipping our Boys to do the business Today.
The only real Shock I got this year was the fact we didnt Dispose of The Orchard county in a better fashion.

I managed to see the last Ten minutes and extra time of the Mayo/Kerry semi reply on the Saturday evening as we got booked into Cassidys hotel. The bar was chocka with Yanks all glued to the TV's. One Stopped with me as he was passing and asked who I was Supporting..I pointed to the Crest on My shirt and informed him that Tomorrows game was all that mattered to me..!! He said "Awesome Man" and shook my Hand. He was no sooner out the door When 'O Shea took that massive Hit and I coundnt control myself and Shouted out' Go on Kerry thats the stuff..!! have to say they looked very Hungry and really wanted that game. I met the yank on his way back in and Said i think its the weekend for the UnderDogs..!!

Couldnt get Tickets so will be watching the Games in the local. We have a young family but try and get to as many games as possible and we buy our jerseys at the start of the season' Although I always wear my oldest top to the Games. My wife yet again won another jersey on the highland Quiz this time. She won an Allstar top in 2012 and got it signed by Jim and all the Boys. As we went to collect the jersey in Letterkenny people where coming and going in throngs buying jerseys. So i hope whatever bandwagoners that are sitting in our seats today enjoy themselves.

Best of luck to both our Minors an seniors Today and especially the Inishowen Lads. whatever the results today the people of Donegal Should be very proud and thankful to both groups of players 'as i am sure they Will.

lets hope both pieces of Silverware will be making there way to the Hills Tomorrow evening.

COME ON DONEGAL'..!!!

Donegal look the better team, more composed, Kerry look to be missing a bit of class.

RTE eulogising Donegal's "system", they are the most disgusting side to watch (with Monaghan) in the history of the game.

Entertainment value 2/10. That's because of Donegal, simple. Kerry playing as they are because of the way Donegsl set up. 2 scores from okay in a half, Leicester City did better than that. As a neutral, for the sake of football as a spectator sport, I hope to god Kerry win. It's easy to see how hurling snobs exist after that!!

Some very good kick passing on show by Kerry, and Marc O'Sé is playing well also at the back. Employing Geaney as the target man was a blindsider that Jim did not see coming at all, wouldn't be surprised to see them revert back to the usual Donaghy and JO'D axis for the second half when the defences begin to tire.

Donegal don't look all that composed, Karl Lacey had a great chance to play in McLoone towards the end, but blasted it high and wide. Small margins will win this game, and we saw one there.

Also, Martin Carney commenting on how he's been disappointed with James O'Donoghue. Martin, please watch the game and see the tactics being employed on the field so you may then be able to see that JO'D is in fact playing deep on his own 45 and therefore can't play his usual game.
