Colin Fennelly had a poor game in final, but theres no comparison in him and G Ryan in my opinion.Id have Fennelly all day long in my team.Sometimes stats can be misleading.I dont think any player should be given extra credit for work rate. That should be a given.Ive been watching G Ryan for 4/5 years now,and i dont think he offers enough.Scores very little, and in the modern game, you want your half forwards chipping in with 2/3 points every game. His goal miss in final was shocking. It was easier to score a goal.I was reading O Meara is fit and good to go now.Same with Forde,he was only on for a few minutes last day,and scored a point.

I couldnt disagre with you more. Gearoid has basically been out of intercounty action for two full seasons before this year. He was excellent in 2010 and 2011. His ball in for Lar the last day was exceptional and he is by far the best forward in Tipp to put that ball in. Guarantee if you asked Callanan or Corbett they would want him in that team all day long. Eamonn O'Shea said recently he is the best striker of a ball in Tipp. I for one would agree with that. He isn't back to 100% yet but he could well be the difference the next day. If you asked me if there is one Tipp forward Tipp could manage with out there isn't one to me that jumps out over another.
Comparing Colin Fennelly to Ryan is ludricous anyway because they are completely diff hurlers. Fennelly isnt a patch on him in any sense of the word.
Would like to know exactly how you have followed him over last 4-5 years?!!

Ive been watching him since 2010 Tiobraid,so thats 4/5 years.Granted hes had injuries but hes never really impressed me that much.He played well in 2010 final, setting up Lars second goal, but id like to see more from him.Scored a goal v Dublin this year.Tipp need a big game from him in replay if they are to win.Taking an open goal chance would be a start.
