Those remarks are priceless coming from someone who didn't have the heart to try and win an All-Ireland with his own county.

Mayo certainly don't lack heart

Year after year coming back for more.. dusting themselves off, supporters travel in big numbers and obviously love their county

Nah it's not heart that Mayo are missing

It's forwards that can kick off both feet, and can think on their feet, adapt, change, do something out of the ordinary... they don't produce enough top end forwards like that.

They currently have the defense but not the forwards

One day this balance will come.

So it's not fair to say that Mayo lack heart... for me... they have more than enough of that

Mayos heart and bottle will be evident come september, the players will have learned from the past few years disappointments.Kerry wont live with us come sunday and when we take SAM home the snide comments will stick in their craws.

Yes it's too easy really. Mayo have created their own image that's made them a sitting duck, bottling so many finals. The sad thing is the lack of faith their fans have in them. Kevin McStay said as much about last years final: the fans let the team down when they needed them.... maybe so much effort was put into distractions like the ticket swindle, painting graffiti on roads and making youtube videos that they clear forgot to roar on their team when the game was in the melting pot.

Jimbubob exactly right the reason the have not won an All Ireland is the lack of a real top class forward and those who say the lack heart and determination is ridiculous when the keep coming back time and time again with big performances in Croker. although i wouldn't feel to sorry for a lot of there supporters who only come out when the are on a good run, although it is same in most counties, it not to hard to support your county when the are going well, there is a core support who support when things are going bad. Floops it would be a bad state of affairs if a county can't get exicted about been in a all Ireland final, i know in quite a bit of Dublin you would not know the Dubs are in a final

I agree, they have everything but one or two classy forwards who'll score from play when it really counts.

To the Ros fan: I dont agree that alot of Mayo fans only come out when on a good run. Along with Mayo only the Dubs are the only other county who's season ticket allocation sell out every year... and the Dubs have a very big population. Mayo have a large number of die hards who support in thick and thin.. and there has been alot of thin!

Not sure that's fair, Mayo get some of the largest crowds in the country for their home league matches. Of course there's a bandwagon element, but that's true of all counties.

The forward issue is well-documented. I think other than James Horan in 1996 and Andy Moran last year, no Mayo forward has scored more than two points from play in an All-Ireland final, which is a fairly shocking rate of return.

Floops comment just reeks of bitterness. Mayo were entitled, under a longstanding convention for All-Ireland final allocation, to have more tickets, as they had two teams in finals. If any one of the other three counties qualify for both this year, the same convention will pertain.

Floops, I hear you banging on about a 'ticket swindle' time and again. Could you please tell us what that entailed? Getting out and buying tickets for a match they wanted to attend as soon as they could? Wow, what a crooked scheme... Also, there was still more Dublin fans at the final than there was mayo fans, just not as much as usual. Do you feel you are entitled to outnumber everyone all the time? Why exactly? What gives you that right?

Master, never in my lifetime or many others has there been more non-Dubs on the Hill when Dublin footballers are playing in a major game.

There was a definite SCHEME to get as many terrace tickets are possible from as many avenues as possible for last year AI Football Final.

Well, as I said last year - hope they enjoyed the view... :o)

I am Not saying they are not entitled to get Terrace tickets but to have so many more than Dublin got was strange to say the least....

Wonder will it happen again this year IF we get to meet in the Final.

Gleebo in fairness Mayo do have a good core support but i didn't see to many Mayo supporters in at Connaught finals in 11 and 12 but since then the have had big support since then when the team have been getting to All Ireland finals.

So? That doesn't mean there was less of you than the opposition though. You don't own the hill.

There was a definite SCHEME to get as many terrace tickets are possible from as many avenues as possible for last year AI Football Final.

There wasn't actually, people were taking whatever ticket they could get. I know loads of guys who went into the hill and would have rathered a seat. It is a long day standing up for 2 games in a row. They just couldn't get them. Not that if there had been, there would be anything wrong with people deciding they want to fill an area of the ground - isn't that what Dublin do with the hill every time they are in croke park? How is that different?
Actually, can you explain why there was a core number of Dublin fans at the front of the hill even before the minor match, which they weren't involved in? Surely that was a 'SCHEME' too, right? Your view is so biased it is staggering.

I am Not saying they are not entitled to get Terrace tickets but to have so many more than Dublin got was strange to say the least....

I found it refreshing actually. The premier sporting occasion in our calendar should have as even a split in the crowd as possible. It makes the occasion all the better.

Wonder will it happen again this year IF we get to meet in the Final.

If we win then I sincerely hope we make efforts to get even more tickets this year. Maybe fill the hill ourselves. Which we are entitled to do. If you find that 'strange', well that is your problem.

Master,

Once again you are missing the point... But never mind.

Like I said, I hope they enjoyed the view.
And hopefully we will give the Mayo fans even more to smile about this year if we meet.
They were such a jolly group of people on the Hill...!!!!
If we meet, we are sure to greet them with open arms on the Hill once again..

The Master the dogs on the street know there was a ticket swindle. The Mayo mafia did great work securing surplus tickets. Do you even live in Mayo?

Floops - you are harping and crowing about Mayo fans on the hill for the past 11 months now and its boring at this stage. Ye won the final, focus on that. You sound like the Dub standing in front of me who was moaning all through the game about us being on "our" hill as he put it. Build a bridge lad.

I wasn't there but apparently they just stood around a bit... very little cheering, singing, clapping etc etc

Ruined the usual atmosphere on the Hill according to many reports

Didn't Kevin McStay make a comment that the negativity spilled down from the stands...
