Cork v Tipp

The Tipperary experience of All-Ireland wins at under age and senior showed up in spades in this match, as I feared it might. I will be cheering for them in the All-Ireland final as the representatives of Munster.

I just watched the Donal Og rant there and he makes fair points r,e the building of a new stadium verses coaching stucture. Des Cahill also comes across as an egeit sometimes, two pitches!!!! ffs

I don't think Des actually understood what Dónal Óg was saying. I think Des thought that Dónal Óg was saying that 2 pitches were too much!

He comes across badly a lot does Des imo. He gets very ratty and argumentative with the pundits which is ridiculous really. Michael Lyster would never be like that but can disagree with the pundits himself in a better way imo.

Of course he is correct - actually I think all centres of excellence are a joke merely used as a trophy project by a county board- but Why was Donal óg not saying all this when Cork won the Munster championship ? ? He could have said they won it despite all the problems he outlined last night ... Whats his Agenda ??

Fair point. The answer though is that he (and others) have been saying things like this for years. There were three strikes. While those that went on strike were criticised for being spoilt brats, they have now left while the real villains remain in tact about to build a monument to themselves (Soviet style). A monument to mediocrity.

I am not trying to reignite the debate whether they were or were not. No point going over that old ground. The point that I am making is that they are all gone and that some parties still hang around and their latest moves are against the wishes of the majority as their power structures remain and club delegates will not speak up out of fear of retribution. The only time that they ever really had the courage to do that was during the last strike.

Apart from Lehane and maybe Cadogan for awhile, I thought that the Cork forward line & midfield went on strike yesterday. Tipp have certainly found something defensively with the introduction of Barrett & Barry.

what shocked me was the difference in skill level between tipp and cork
somethings never change the old relieable tipp and kilkenny
they still have the knack n skills
