OLLIE
By the way did you get your name from the Wolfe Tones?

Yes the Tones Ollie! How do you think Plunketts will do in Leinster? A good Meath man over them!

Its hard to know Toney. Louth clubs dont have a great record in Leinster. Last year Hunterstown were beaten in the Leinster junior final and the Gers won the Inter so hopefully the Plunketts go on a good run. I say Mr Coyle will be getting the freeman of Mell if the Plunketts win Leinster.

The Tones in Meath is around the Kilberry area is it? They have the same colours as Wexford? I say no love lost between yourselves and Rathkenny then.

No disrespect but surely TG4 could have come up with a better game than the Offaly senior football final which is a boring snorefest at the minute.

I don't know if I would go that far - he's definitely a seriously classy footballer but he's only up against some very ordinary looking Edenderry defenders today.

I wonder if there are some rules in their contract with the GAA about having a spread of games from various counties. I have heard that a fair few county boards don't like letting TG4 games in for games as they reckon it affects attendances (and hence money for the county board)

The game is still miles better than the 2 hurling games were last week which were a total disaster, although Rhode look to have that bit more about them

Another thing I'm surprised at is why there wasnt a 2 o'clock throw-in

They never show the Dublin final for some strange reason, some of these lads wouldn't get a game for junior b teams in Dublin terrible stuff.

That Offaly game was the worst standard of football I have ever seen at senior level.

Ulster Senior Hurling Championship scores:

CUSHENDALL 3 - 17 SLAUGHTNEIL 0 -26 (AET - REPLAY)

PORTAFERRY 2 - 17 LISBELLAW 1 - 11

Don't know why these weren't on the HS live match tracker but there you go. We'll put it down to an oversight maybe.

Austin Stacks beat Dingle 2-13 to 1-09. Mid Kerry beat Shannon Rangers 1-12 to 0-07 in the other semi-final. Final is in two weeks time. Hopefully it'll be a closer affair.

Across the Shannon, Cratloe claimed the football & hurling double.

Back to the Kingdom, Lixnaw beat Kilmoyley 1-12 to 0-12 in the senior hurling final replay yesterday. As usual, Kerry's senior hurling champions enter the Munster Intermediate Championship.

So that means even if Stacks lose they still go into the Munster club championship?

A club has to win the County Championship to enter Munster. If Mid Kerry, a divisional club, win the County final, the winner of the Club Championship will enter Munster. The Club Championship final between Dr Crokes and Killarney Legion is on next Sunday.

It was a poor Offaly SFC final today, but the standard of football here has been poor all year. New manager Pat Flanagan attended, he knows what he has to work with.
The preceding JFC Final, threw in at 1.30pm. Daingean won, they were a Senior club once. That's why the senior game started at 3.30pm,

really good carlow county final today, rathvilly beating defending champions old leighlin 2-09 to 1-10. one of the better county finals in recents times, hard to fathom how the county team is so poor when club final offers such a good standard, tinryland won the minor final today their first ever beating palatine in a very entertaining game

Crossmaglen are no doubt the best club team in Ireland but how bad must the rest of the teams be in Armagh ? Like 18 out of 19 titles come on surely Armagh clubs could do better than that that's shocking bad then winning so many.
