Mayo v Kerry

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

As a relative neutral Im really looking forward to todays game , think it will be a cracker , class players on both teams , normally Id take my cash to paddy power and walk away thanks to the kingdom with my spending money for the weekend , normally getting the spread correct .
Now a fool and his money are easily parted , so I could be just the village idiot a poor play has been missing , for today Ive gone with Mayo , basing it on play over last few seasons rather than just last couple of runs , JOD is a massive threat as is the superior kick passing Kerry employ turning defence into attack , however I feel there are more genuine match winners overall in the Mayo side . Hope its a good game , hope you guys get up here safe n sound with no thanks to Thomas the tank ., best of luck to both sides .

Could be a draw, it is a very close tie. Mayo looked very good at times v Cork, when the chips were down they answered. Kerry hammered cork at the end of june, its hard to make any comparison between the 2 teams on their relative performances against Cork, as 6 weeks in the lifespan of championship football is a long time, and munter teams traditionally come better for croke park in terms of performances.

Mayo by a squeak if I was to be forced to call it. Could be the game of the championship btw.

Why worry about the train strikes, other forms of transport are advailable. What if you were from Donegal, no trains or railway but we still get to Dublin.

As regards to today's game I'd fancy Mayo as the looked the best team on quarter final day. I think they will be too strong for Kerry. If Mayo are beat today , 4 years of hard work gone and no AI.

For Sam ::Dublin ---2/7. Mayo:::5/1---6/1. Kerry:::7/1---9/1 Donegal out to 12/1 with pp Now if we beat Dublin what price would we be for Sam. As it stands now I'd like a Donegal v Kerry final but it's hard to get what you like at times so Mayo would do fine.

As a neutral just hoping for a good open game today, not going to even try to call it, it could be a very tight game and hopefully it is or one team could surprise the other and win quite easily, who knows.

Thanks lads, we're here now parked up, was listening to championship Sunday on today fm on the way up and the disrespect shown to Kerry was unreal, it was all mayo , how they will win it and how they can change the game and mark JOD out of the game, and then you had lee Keegan being interviewed and at least 3 times he mentioned the final, hopefully he'l keep his eye on the final and off today's game. Hope the ref has a good game today, coldrick hasn't been very fair to us lately.
Come on Kerry .

First off, well dome to Cavan yesterday, played the better football and had a good win against the Kingdom.
Kerry half forward line is our poorest line while, Mayo have the best half back line in Ireland and if you add in Higgins I feel this is where Mayo will come out in top. Our one hope is that if there's a point or two with 15 left and Deccie o Sullivan comes on we may have a chance.

Really looking forward to seeing this match, whoever feels the pressure the most will lose. Not rooting for either, just hope this game lives up to the best these two teams can give.

Hopefully the Mayo management not taking off number 11 of until he collapsed 2 other times didn't make his injury any worse.Very bad on their behalf in my opinion.

Kerry better team in minors and Hanley getting injured early was a disaster. Ref is shocking.

This is a poor Kerry team, Mayo not much better, I fear for both of them in the final.
