Mayo, comfortably.

While I agree on Mayo being favourites to make another final, the Munster runners-up could be out for revenge for 3 years ago, a game that saw both counties head in opposite directions in terms of their All-Ireland challenge. A Munster final repeat while unlikely cannot be ruled out as being the eventual semi-final.

Legend, a Galway/Cork semifinal can't be ruled out... it's one of the possibilities.

This has the makings of a cracker but I have a feeling that Mayo will actually reach the All Ireland Final again this year.

Really looking forward to this game easily the best game of all the quarter finals, all the pressure is on Mayo and that's just the way these Cork players will like it, if Cork forwards click I think they can win this game cause they'll have no fear of Mayo . Really looking forward to seeing where exactly Mayo are at this year and Sunday should tell us all.

Win, loose or draw you probably wont get that answer. Mayo never get credit for quarter final wins:

2011 - Ah sure Cork had too many injuries, and were hungover after the All Ireland final win
2012 - Ah sure Down are a poor team
2013 - Ah sure Donegal didn't have the legs this year.

Watching Cork play a very poor Sligo side they made hard work of it
they never looked like scoring a goal Mayo by 8

WfKerry your probably right but I look at the Cork players Kerrigan O Neill Walsh Goulding Gould Shields O Conor Kelly Hurley etc like there great players surely they've a bit fight in them for next Sunday. Like on paper Cork have the way better forwards, take out Cillan O Conor and Mayo have good forwards but not great, if Cork can keep the Mayo half back line quiet then Mayo will be in trouble.

Only looking at Cork myself....will be some battle. Cork on paper can beat any team so Mayo will need to play well. If Cork employ their blanket defense we could find them hard to break down like we did Roscommon. That said I don't know if Cork are suited to playing that way, also a system like thats takes a year or two to perfect....Cork have had only a few weeks. Kerrigna v Keegan is a potential match up that will be very interesting. I except us to win if we bring our A game but if we don't the Cork men will have full advantage.

Cork have been very poor for some time and it is very hard to make a case for them to defeat Mayo. Mayo have three/four years of playing the same system etc and were it not for Cork's reputation and tradition then Mayo would have to be favoured greatly. I take Mayo by five points.

I wouldnt write Cork off just yet. Mayo will be favourites but its a different ball game when u get to Croker. Cork will be out to prove that the games V Kerry and Sligo were just down to bad performances. I expect Cork to give Mayo a great game and it will be close.

That shower next door couldn't be coming into this under more favourable circumstances

They could be in an AI final yet

One thing for sure I hope Maigh Eo beat them because they'd put the fear of God in me if they got a chance to redress that Munster capitulation

Could be anything between Maigh Eo by 8 to Corcaigh by 4 if you ask me (which no-one has)

Mayo team in:

Hennelly
Barrett
Caff
Higgins
Keegan
Boyle
Vaughan
Moran
S.OShea
McLoughlin
A.O'Shea
Doherty
C O'Connor
Moran
Dillon

So unchanged from the starting 15 from the Connacht Final. I would rather keep one of Dillon or Moran in reserve to spring from the bench and would not have been surprised to see Gibbons instead of Moran in Midfield but who knows. Its a squad game as they say. Gald to see Aidan retained at 11 and I feel he can be more effective there cleaning up ball. Big game need again from Doherty and Cillian. Roll on Sunday.

Cork have it within them to do damage here, but only if they express themselves, Mayo are a well drilled unit and will be very hard to beat, close game I hope, Mayo's last chance saloon for this lot, might be enough to drive them on!

Here is a prediction, neither team named will start the game and the first defender to be fouled in a 'streetwise' manner will be either lee keegan or keith Higgins...

I would be shocked if Mayo don't win, I feel they are very strong mentally despite losing the last 2 finals. They are confident in their own ability without being too cocky, Mayo to win.

I guarantee you that will not be Mayo's starting 15 this Sunday, Really looking forward to this game.

I'm heading to Croke park on Sunday but expectations are low. a few HS posters seem to think a surprise could be on the cards, but I just don't see it. All positions seem to be up for grabs in the Cork team with constant changing and rotating. Contrast that with Mayo being a settled, battled hardened team, who I've no doubt will put us to the Sword on Sunday.
Mayo by 5/6 points

Giving the players at their disposal , Cork should be much better. There is nothing to suggest that they can turn a corner . Mayo by 4-5!
