Sam

No disrespect taken about the dubs. I tipped them after seeing the league to win sam pulling up. There is nothing out there to match them. However, that doesnt mean they can have one bad day at the office, and a team that plays the game of their lives just might, and only might, squeak passed them. There is a team out there that will be as determined and well conditioned to win sam, they have been together for a long time, and they are starving to win it. Mayo.

I know what you mean, but to beat the dubs you would have to have 15 starters and 6 subs to play at their very best and you'd have to hope that you get a fair refferee that doesn't buckle under pressure and also hope the dubs have a bad day.

Dubs all want Kerry... Hmm...

They're nearly both better teams than Mayo but to me Mayo look narky, pissed off, tired and ready to win ugly. They could surprise everyone and drag Dublin in to a street fight in a potentially scrappy final. If Mayo win it I'll spend the week Westport!

Personally, Tipp v Cork is gonna be cracking. The hurling in Limerick v KK wasn't slick in that weather but the intensity was savage. That same intensity and a dry day, with those players on view, and Sunday will be a match for the ages.

Cork/Kilkenny, for the auld fellas and the neutrals.
Would love a Dublin/Kerry final but Kerry will struggle
against Mayo. Really looking forward to seeing how the Dubs
unlock Donegal. And they will, imo.

Games I would like to see are:-

Hurling
CORK v Kilkenny (Cork v Tipp game hard to call)

Football
DUBS v Kerry (expecting Mayo to reach the Final though)

In fairness, despite the bad press the refs are getting, they are doing a mostly good job. I think that the final will be no different. The big calls are off the ball incidents that go unpunished, and there are plenty of them, those are the calls that umpires and linesmen have got to start making. Too much on the refs plate as it is!

At the outset I'd've said Clare v KK in hurling but now Cork/Tipp in Croker looks like the intriguing one. You do wonder what could be new in yet another KK/Cork final while KK and Tipp are sick of the sight of each other having met each of the past 5 years.
Football : I've said Dubs/Donegal all along. Kerry are maybe that bit new a team yet.

No doubt about it. I want a Dublin v Kerry Final. We owe them big time. It'll be nerve wracking but the feeling of beating them is just that little bit sweeter.

Cavan man, are you for real? It all started in 1978, when Mikey Sheehy placed that ball . . . . .sorry I just can't go there…Suffice it to say 35 years of pain followed.
