Roscommon vs Armagh

Referees needs to be strong here.Twice Armagh have got the physiological advantage targeting other team key players and then crying to media afterwardsbthat they are been victimised.A certain player has got away scot free the 2 times.

This should be a very tight game, with Roscommon probably slight favourites entering the tie.

Armagh have played stunningly well against Monaghan and Tyrone, but after looking at Roscommons stats I feel Armagh will be in for a hard day. Roscommon have one of the most disciplined defences in the country, with an exceptional ability not to concede free's.

I don't even know if home advantage will really matter to Roscommon, after how easily they dispatched Cavan away from home.
Armagh will be buoyed by their win over old rivals Tyrone, but this game could be harder to get motivated for on the back of their last 2 against massive rivals & neighbours at home.

This game will define how far we have came in the last 12 months. I think we can win, it's going to be close, just hope nothing is left out on the pitch. best of luck to all involved and that includes the referred .

Myth. Except maybe the bit about a certain player.

In fairness most media outlets have reported Armagh performance last week as brilliant or outstanding. It wasn't they actually played pretty poorly missing chance after chance but Tyrone were just too poor to punish them. Armagh will to produce a much better display today against a difficult Roscommon team but I reckon its in them. Its a season defining game for both sides.

Please please please bring in a new rule for the hand pass , it's just to easy and boring to watch a team hand pass the ball all day. Roscommon just won't kick the ball

Armagh by far the better team in first half. Dissapointing from Roscommon.

"Armagh are more streetwise there leading taking Roscommon off the motorway and leading them up the ould bog road where there robbing them(roscommon) when nobody is looking" funniest commentary I have heard in a while

I'd say the Brits are on the edge of there seats after watching that first half.

Armagh look stronger in the tackle, and are constantly forcing turnovers. There attacking play is way more efffective too, which is mainly down to a varied approach.

Roscommon have been lacking an attacking edge in the first half, but It is clear that they have a look of a capable team. Big men in and around the middle, who have won more kickouts than Armagh.

Great win for Armagh in difficult conditions. Four weeks in a row is not easy & it's hard to believe they are a Div 3 team.

Snide comments from armchair warriors don't really add much.

Did not learn an awful lot about Armagh from that to be honest. I felt they were playing with the handbrake on and coasted through so I am still none the wiser as to how much further they will go.

As for Roscommon they look to be lacking a bit of know how and did make a fair few basic errors which they will be disappointed with. Given how they ran Mayo so close today does nothing to change my view that the path to the final this year is totally loaded on the Ulster/Munster side.

naysayer i presume you mean ulster leinster. in fairness it is a well worn debate at this stage one which I don't really tally with. tough hard games are probably more beneficial once a team continues to win/stay in the race. I saw armagh twice against us in the last year and it is clear the monaghan games are benefitting them.

Senan Connell trying to sell a poor second half telling us that the Rossies tried throwing the kitchen sink at Armagh in the second half. More kitchen towel than kitchen sink I reckon. Armagh never looked under pressure. Well able to mix it in defence then give quick long ball to a man in space. Rossies attack only briefly showed what they are capable of, too often they stand too close to each other. Their defence was too loose at times. Armagh should give problems to whoever loses tomorrow's Leinster or Ulster final but any of the 4 teams playing tomorrow are capable of beating them, providing they're not on too much of a downer after losing thier provincial final.
