Kerry Dublin - AI Final

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Based on the way the draw has been laid out this year, I think Mayo make this years AI Final.

Who they face is anyone's guess though...

Floops you think Dublin will handle (probably) Donegal and/or Monaghan without too much issue? Well first thing I will say is fair play for saying so, there is too much skulking around going on here of late.

You should not be blaming the referee, he is the top referee in the country. How do you think Roscommon felt after losing the 1946 final.I think you will have to agree Dublin are a good team. You should know by now that Dublin win a lot of their matches in the last ten minutes or so.I am sure Cork thought they had the league semi-final won this year as they were 8 points up with 20 minutes to go. Kerry nearly won last years All-Ireland semi-final.They were within a point of Dublin on 68 minutes and they lost by seven points. Those
things happen. I know how you feel but you can always console yourself with the 1946 All-Ireland.

Arrogant thread....the football final line up is far from a forgone conclusion.

Yep you can't read about donegal without hearing about 2012. Might as well be 1912 as far as I'm concerned. As for monaghan 0 AIs = minnows.Too much disrespect being shown to teams like Mayo Kerry etc.

There's a difference between bitterness and sour grapes, in my head sour grapes are when you blame the other side for not winning, bitterness is when you blame your own!

No problems Dublin winning, its Kerry blowing it that has us still hurting...

Most likely final is Mayo v Dublin but this is far from a foregone conclusion. Kerry, Monaghan and perhaps Donegal could upset the applecart. Hard to see Mayo beating Dublin in the final though

Truth be told we don't really know much about anyone's form yet.

Dublin's conquests in the last 6 months have all proven to be of poor quality & were all badly found out. Defence is poor

Mayo's win against Galway was good but the win against Roscommon was stuttering. Forwards are not fantastic

Kerry great against Cork but poor against Clare & no Gooch.

Donegal/Monaghan Just out of Div 2 & not tearing trees up form wise. Sunday will tell a lot.

In short we won't know how any of the big guns are going until the Q/F's are over. Everything now is pure speculation.

How things have changed about Kerry::: four weeks ago they were supposed to lack players, not much talent ete yet because they hammered an out of sort Cork everybody has lost the run of there selves about Kerry. They could win the All Ireland but so could a few more counties.
Could Anybody on here see Cork regroup , I think they will beat Sligo.
Now Cork v Mayo , that would be interesting. As a lot of people know Cork are brilliant when they play well but the opposite is also true , play bad and their terrible. I for one would not have thought that there is much between Cork/Mayo and both at their best. Cork are a team Mayo would want to be weary of.
As regards Mayo being the most physical team left , well that's debatable. I'd have thought Monaghan are a far more physical team with Donegal/Dublin not far behind.
After the Semi final v Roscommon a lot of Mayo posters on here were of the opinion Mayo struggles against a blanket defence Well if things fall lucky the could end up meeting two teams well drilled in the art of defending Mon/Done
To me the odds are long on a Dublin v Kerry final. Dublin are the more likely to get there but any of three Cork/Mayo/Kerry could also get there.

Agree with Muckross..

About Mayo's displays, well I think the Rossies are better than Galway currently, and,it will take a good side to beat the Rossies,so I think Mayo did well to grind a win against them..

Way too silly and early to call this.
Kerry should make the semis handy enough but Mayo will find it tricky against Cork (if Cork make it) in the 1/4a
then the Kerry mMyo game will be 50 50

As for Dublin, well I dont think they are going to get it as easy as they are making it look at the moment.
They are odds on to make the final but will like;y get a good scare or 2 yet.

I think you meant bottled it? When was last time Kerry won a All Ireland in a tight game in last 10 minutes.Games against Armagh 02,Tyrone 05 & 08 and Dublin 2011 were lost when the going got tough and Kerry have a excuse for losing each game.
