Gary Kirby played club championship the week after the wexford match. The broken finger story was a great way to distract from the truth - that he went missing on the day of the all ireland final. If his finger was broke would he be able to play 7 days later?

Dunno what all the fuss is about nick. Go on your own site a lot of posters say lk represent a step up or a serious step up. If lk represent a step up from teams wexford struggled to beat then these wexford posters are saying the same as those limerick posts u put up i.e on firm lk are better n should win. All we are going on is form it is all anyone can go on.

Form book has of course been proven wrong in past but it still our best asset when making predictions. So nick u making big fuss over nothing.

I wouldn't put it as bluntly as that bit point taken. Limerick a little further developed and should be favourites. That doesn't mean it's not a 50/50 game. It's all about the 70 minutes. If we bring the same intensity and work rate as tge Clare games, tidy up the shooting some more coupled with tge experience and the confidence of the qualifiers ee won't be far off regardless of what limerick show up.

I was told the same story mike by an ex limerick hurler one night, am friends with his brother. Often wondered if it was true.

As for Sunday undoubtedly Limerick are further along the road tha Wexford are and are at a higher level. That's just a fact and another issue for Wexford is the game venue itself which hasn't been kind to us in recent years while Limerick are well used to that venue.

Limerick are favourites and rightly so and again we will be up against it to get a victory but that has been the case in every game this summer apart from the Antrim game. Wexford tend to operate better when not being labelled with the favourites tag. I can't wait, it's a team with momentum up against a team licking their wounds since the Munster final and waiting for a chance of redemption, a classic is beckoning I hope.

Wexford will beat Limerick. Good bet.

Getting slightly more confident about Dubs the more I hear.

The answer Mike is yes. Many players have played with broken fingers. Also Mike you should show more respect for Gary Kirby, he was a brilliant hurler for Limerick and is still involved at all levels at coaching. The man is also a gentleman and does'nt need his injury questioned by so called Limerick supporters.

I never said there was anything wrong with it I was just pointing out where Limerick see themselves in relation to Wexford.
But if you read the posts here in the global market compared to the posts on the Limerick site there was a very different tone. Including yourself I might add.

Why do you detest it? I think Wexford people should be more hurt by the incorrect and unproven allegations than Limerick people.
I looked at the replays a millions times in relation to that incident and I could never in my wildest dreams understand how anybody could say he did it on purpose. Both men had eyes fixed on the ball the whole way through the swing. The ball basically dropped straight down between the 2 of them. None of them actually made contact with the ball so both actually misjudged it. At the end of the day there is only one man who knows whether he did it on purpose or not (and it's not Kirby and it's not Limerick supporters) and that is Mr Dunne and he has denied any intent.

Should be three good games. I'd say Waterford for the minor, Limerick and maybe Tipp for the senior. But if Dublin can play like they did last year then I think the will edge it, Tipp have fantastic players but I am not sure about some of their defenders.

1621782 Wexford may go on and win this one but if we are to be taken seriously as all irl contenders we need to be clipping wexford relatively comfortably.Thats with no disrepect to wexford i just feel we are 2-3 yr ahead of where they are and have no doubt they'll be contenders in next few yrs.Just hoping not this yr.

Nick,i have already explained this but since you seem so sensitive i'll try again,if you read my post as it was intended i said "if we are to be considered all irl contenders we need to be beating you comfortably,i totally stand over this, as "if" we beat ye comfortably[which i don't think will happen as its a 50/50 game]we might be then considered serious contenders. You can take it whatever way you want but that was what i was trying to say.You seem to be saying that limk ae cocky but surely you must be confusing us with our southern neighbours?By the way i spoke to a few wexford men during the week and they are v confident of winning and i don't have a problem with that.
