AI Hurling Quarter Finals

There was four points in it with about 5 minutes to go in 2007 whereas ye were hurled off the field from trap to line in 2012. Incidentally Brolly or Spillane must not have reads that contract you speak of, because have criticised individuals never mind teams

Oldtourman that all Irland was over after 10 minutes Kk were 9 points up. Yes Kk were way better tan Tipp in 12 it was a draw at halftime and they destroyed us from 49th minute on but I don't see what all this has to do with this years 1/4 final is it a cheap shot you are after or can you just not take criticism of Limerick

Realtmo read it again no ifs or buts from me Cork were better. It was another poster who said we could have etc ....not me. You can apologise if u like cos I do think u r made of good stuff.

Im saying I agree with sheedy and loughnane when they said Limerick werent out of this c ship yet. They were so strong on it that Lyster had to cut across them to say that today is Corks day and it was.

Write off limerick at your peril KK have to be favs but were are no also rans if we can come on from games as other counties like wexford and indeed tipp have and like clare did last year. If we cannot them it will be bye bye but i am hopeful we can fulfill some of our potential.

Do not think this six weeks wait between a first round and a final is a total joke and I dont care who the team waiting the six weeks is. Surely four weeks should be the maximum as this allows plenty time for a possible replay ( 2007 only happens once in a lifetime). Also is not very unfair on Cork that they have to wait five weeks for their next game.

Df I dont want to see KK win another all Ireland for as along as I live. I would love to see any other winner and especially Limerick or the other three Wexford, Waterford or Dublin win it. I would take nearly as much joy as seen Tipp win it if Limerick could but........ them Cats are just to good at the moment I hope to god I'm wrong. I wouldnt mind seen one of your match up of Limerick 15 to KK 15 as we have seen your match up to Cork and Tipp already.

Oldtourman it suits KK have the experience to handle it, not Limerick as I see this as one of yer biggest problems not enough games on top of each other to build on momentum. Limerick need all the big games they can get as ye are building a team, just look at Wexford they won't win the all Ireland with all respect but bygod will all these games stand to themgoing forward. I do agree no team should go longer than four weeks without a game.

Df read my posts again,i never said Pauraic Maher was a better fullback than Richie McCarthy.I think McCarthy and JJ Delaney are the two best fullbacks in the game.I said Pauraic Maher is a better hurler than McCarthy. When Maher plays well, especially at half back,he is one of the best hurlers in the game.

Cuederocket when I went through the teams I compared each in their position and I said that Richie was a better 3 than P Maher. You disagreed. A simple misunderstanding then.

Limerick V Waterford
Dublin V Tipperary
Two very intriguing games that I think will both go down to the wire. Could Wexford be this years Clare? They get a result against Limerick which isn't improbable anything could happen from there on in. Would love to see Wexford have a go off Kilkenny In Croke Park.
As for the venue could Thurles be too small? There were 19,000 in Nowlan Park 14,000 of which I'd say we're Wexford. They would definitely bring that and more to at hurlers the next day....
My guess would be for Thurles
Wexford 15,000
Limerick 17,000
Tipperary 17,000
Dublin 10,000
I would prefer Thurles but if you change to Croke Park you can add 10,000 on to that Dublin crowd and a bit more to the Wexford crowd, shouldn't take too much from Tipp or Limerick either......
What do ye think?

Delighted to still be there. Terrific result for us. Limerick will punish us for being so wasteful though. Slight improvement shooting this week. I wouldn't be afraid of limerick but we'll need to improve an awful lot.

The gaa should surely consider moving these games to Croker. If the games go ahead in thurles thousands of supporters will be left dissapointed by not being able to get tickets. I think we wwould be hoping to bring about 15000 Tipp 20000 Limerick 18000 The Dubs 8000. Correct me if I'm. wrong but that leaves 8000 supporters without that would love to attend these games without tickets as I think the capacity is 53k.

Afinestick, if tickets go on sale tomorrow then the clubs in Wexford have all been looked after with their allocation. 55k is still a lot of ticekts and Croker wouldnt get 50k from these 4 I dont think. Thurles will be fine, it's a big old place and as we learned in Nowlan Park on Saturday, small ground packed = super atmosphere.

Two very promising games and I fancy Tipperary and Wexford to win.

Hoping for a Leinster double, Dublin and Wexford foe me. Wexford have already knocked out two Munster teams and another up for the chop next Sunday! Dublin won't go down without aright although home advantage, unfairly so, might swing it for Tipp.
