AI Hurling Quarter Finals

Men against boys here. Dublin look as though they have money on Tipp to win judging by the amount of ball they are giving them. No intensity at all from the dubs, can't find a man and are not marking. Very similar to the Wexford performance so far and will only end one way if Daly doesn't shake it up at the break.

Thurles PA announcer starts calling out a substitution just as Alan McCrabbe was lifting the ball for a free. Well done.

Ah Poolsurgeon, that's a bit harsh, did a Limerick girl break your heart or what?? Not sure why you think Limerick believe we are better than we really are either, but any spare tickets for the All-Ireland !!

There are hurling counties and there are football counties.

Dublin's first touch is terrible. Hopefully we get a much better second half but it does not look too likely.

Strange start to Tipp/Dublin game, and a change of jerseys wouldn't have gone astray either...

I do think the tradition hurling county is far superior to the more tradition football county in the second game here.

Tipp have been cruising.

Dublin aren't lacking effort but they are struggling with basic score taking/creating in this game.

Tipp are just sweeping scores over the bar and they make it look simple.

Dublin are being made work very very hard for theirs, Partly down to Tipp defending, And partly down to Dublins inferior ability to create.

Tipp have some serious forwards, Corbett is still a different gravy and Dublin, Despite having decent forwards, they arent in the same class as Tipps with the exception of maybe Sutcliffe who is a class act, But he has gone off injured.

You feel if Tipp had to up it here and find another gear, They would.

Dublin look like they haven't gotten the Kilkenny game out of their system.

Its horribe for Dublin hurling fans, After what seemed a break-through year last year, To let go of their Leinster crown and, As it stands, to be bowing out of the AI to a far inferior tipp side, compared to Tipp sides gone by must be tough.

That said, It isn't over yet, A Dublin goal COULD make Tipp rattle a small bit.

Certainly not the game I was expecting, Dublin clearly are not the team of 12 months ago and Tipp despite dominating aren't transferring that fully onto the scoreboard............and just as I say it they bang a second goal in!!!!!

Hmmm,

Or maybe (and Dublin's hurling fans will absolutely crucify me for this, But it's a reality) last year was a one off year, And like many previous years we are seeing where Dublin really are in comparison to the top traditional hurling counties like Cork, like Kilkenny, like Tipperary. Against the top top sides when it really matters, Dublin just dont have enough quality. It really is as simple as that.

Dublin haven't beaten Tipp since 1917 - at this rate of progrss it will be 2117 before they do.

Ah I don't think I could agree there, they beat Kilkenny twice in recent years, once with a trophy at stake, beat Galway twice and Limerick. Both Cork and Tipp have been their undoing in All Ireland Semi Finals and being truthful they didn't get the rub of the green in those matches. This year has been a dissapointing one, as 2012 was as I recall, but Dublin have been more than a once off in hurling in recent years and have proved capable of matching or beating some of the traditional counties, although I do feel now that a fresh voice is needed

We were poor. Got no breaks and looked absolutely wrecked from the off. All credit to limerick on a killer performance. I wish you every success and would love to see you go all the way.
