1618708 Sur Limerick will bring 40,000 alone so that will leave 13,000 between the other 3 counties if they are to be played in Thurles.

Bring it to Croker!!!!

Stop be saying that or you will have the usual crew and their keep Dubs out of Croker nonsense starting up again... :o)

The games will be in Thurles. If Wexford beat Waterford then there will be big crowd but place be big enough. Huge game for ourselves. Not optimisitc but hopefully they willthro the kitchen sink at it. Never beaten Tipp in Thurles as far as I know.

Thurles confirmed as venue for quarter finals. If Wexford beat Waterford and that's a big if I would expect us and Limerick to bring up to 30k between us then Tipp and Dublin could bring a similar figure. Surely these games could be moved to Croker now.

I am with cue on this.

I cant see us beating Tipp in their own back yard either.

If the game was in Parnell Park, we would have a great chance but in Thurles - no.

Tipp have got up a nice head of steam now.Theyve got the Limerick defeat out of their minds and they smell blood.I dont underestimate the advantage that home advantage holds.Take the league for instance.Huge percentage of home wins.Throw in history and tradition too, which although intangible, certainly seems to make a difference.Dublin never having beaten Tipp in Thurles is a significent handicap. We should have beaten Tipp in the league but couldnt close the deal.Different Tipp team now. Also, being at the Leinster Final,i was dismayed at the level of Dublins hurling. There has to be a Dublin backlash but im afraid it will be too little, too late.

in 2011 dublin v limerick and waterford v galway double header had 33 thousand
in 2012 waterford v cork and kilkenny v limerick had 38 thousand
in 2013 cork v kilkenny and galway v clare had 33 thousand

so with thurles holding 53 thousand shouldnt be a problem

That's harsh enough on Dublin lads. We don't have to worry about.it. Waterford clear favourites

all depends on what humour anthony daly is in
if he gives up the tactics and focuses on letting the players play hurling it should be very good game
if he trys to be centre of attention and come up wuth a way of stopping tipp we will end up in similiar position
as the leinster final

Dublin were not at the races v Kilkenny however I dont think Kilkenny allowed them to play and when that happens its gonna be a long afternoon for your backs and goalkeeper.

Tipp are a different kettle of fish and play into the opposition hands with silly tactics. Dublin posted 1-09 vs Kilkenny I would expect them to have that up by the 30 minute mark in the QF.

Tipp are giving away freebies all year and with a Dublin team out to prove a point I have a feeling they could get back on the horse to Croker for a semi final v Cork.

If Tipp are to win we have to stop Dublin half forwards and half backs. This one will go to the wire and I hope it does.

These were all put into a new thread but as the subject matter is the same they have been incorporated here.

So we now know the quarter final line up lads:

Wexford V Waterfrod - Im going for a Wexford win here. A team definitely on the up and after their brilliant win over the reigning all ireland champions confidence is surely sky high in the camp. Wexford by 3.

Dublin V Tipperary - Unforunately im going for a tipp win here (hope to god im wrong). If dublin can bring their A game i would call this a 50/50 game. But to me it seems like the usual one step forward and two steps back under Daly and ill be going to the match in hope of a win rather than expectation. Tipp by 5.

Hoping for a leinster double here.

Thoughts lads?

Do we know the Q final line up? Wexford against Waterford isn't a Quarter final.

Waterford to beat Wexford by 6.
Tipp to beat Dublin by 1-2.
Waterford to cause a small shock and pip Limerick

Well you might want to check the line-up for a start, Wexford v Waterford is this weekend and the winners play Limerick!

why would you think its unfortunate if Tipp win administrator all?
I hope they do win and in fact I think they will win the All-Ireland

Would be hard to back against tipp in Thurles. All I will do is revert to my prediction before Limerick game. If you are dependant on Callinan and McGrath one or both will let you down. Callinan has done v well of late but lets see how he goes against kelly. Id still back tipp though.

Im not being dismissive but if Limerick cant beat either Wexford or Waterford then it will set us back a few years as we "should" be at a different stage in our development than either of those two. I would expect Waterford to beat wexford as I think Clare were v poor this year and Wexford should really have beaten them in Ennis the first day when playing against 14 men and certainly should have beaten 13 men.

Tipperary competing in quarters will add considerably to attendance so could be an issue....

Callanan is out as far as I know disillusioned. Think he broke his thumb against Offaly?

Hurlingdub, according to radio reports this morning he will be fine to face the Dubs.
Big bonus for Tipp.
