Monaghan men sounding very confident here this morning or is it a case of whistling past the graveyard??

Time will tell.

Confident enough alright, we just seem to be able to handle reasonably well the regular Donegal system that they play, and our defence has dealt well with their full-forward line which supplies the vast majority of their scores. I just wonder if McGuinness will do something different today to mix things up, he might have looked at a couple of the previous meetings and figure that the way they normally play doesn't match up well to the way we play. These couple of young lads they've introduced this year could bring something different to the table, so it'll be interesting to see.

Regardless of how they set up, it's vital that we hold tight at the back to restrict their scores, and move the ball quickly to our danger men up front and hopefully score a little more than them. Kieran Hughes being fit is vital for this though, and it's not clear if that's the case. Regardless of all this, it'll be a fascinating battle. Probably a fairly low-scoring game that will have some moaning, but the winners won't care. I'm sure the Donegal folk are just as confident and that's what makes this so interesting, somethings got to give! See yis in Clones lads.

By God this one is hard to call. I see Tomás O'Sé gave Donegal the nod in his column in the Indo on Thursday but Pat Spillane was quite dismissive of Donegal's prospects in today's Sunday World.

All we can do is watch it all unfold with baited breath!

Tír Chonaill abú!!

Ah but McStay tipped Donegal so that's in our favour! I believe he's tipped the wrong result in each of our three games so far!

With a breeze Monaghan are playing a one ma forward line. Hope they get battered for this negativity.

Neither will be within a asses roar of dublin and when they play there blanket defences dublin will just push more forward knowing neither would score more than 11 or 12 points against them and all you need is 3 or defenders to mark the 1 or 2 forwards they leave up.

What would you have given the penalty for MesAmis out of interest?

it was a 45 cause the keeper saved it outside the area with his feet raised, a footblock

Wasn't a footblock as he didn't block the kicker's striking action.
