1976 Leinster final, 1st one I remember, getting horsed over the stiles at the Canal end by my late father, big basket with the tae and sambos. Old Hill16 and the way you could see the crowd sway over and back, health and safety me arse. Dubs won by 4, Colm O'Rourke missed a sitter into the canal goal, which was occupied by Paddy Cullen. No sign of Garth then either, although if he was about he would have had no bother gettin' 5 gigs on, feckin' Dubs again, it's all their fault!

'83. Mullins was playing poorly in the reply but was our fulrum. We took him off and Meath cameback to force extra-time. We put Mullins back on and we won!!

91 is the standout for me. The third replay live on the Saturday. Meath eventually beat the then county of Dublin!

91 and 86 are stand out, but 1975 league final was something else. Ken Rennicks gave a class performance

1991 certainly stands alone in terms of memories, nothing to beat that really. Honourable mentions to the '99 Leinster Final which was most enjoyable and for sheer heart and effort the '96 Leinster Final stands out, the '97 quarter final saw a fantastic first half display and a hell for leather second half and the drawn game in '07 also deserves a mention. Strangest memory is the '88 Leinster Final, a demolished Hill 16, an injured Brian Stafford and a final scoreline of 2-5 to 0-9 all leant to a strange day, you could never imagine beating Dublin nowadays with 2-5 and even back in '88 it was an unusual feat

Seen two great first round games between Dublin and Meath in 1983 which Dublin won after a replay and went on to win the All-Ireland. For 20 odd years Dublin Meath games were great on so many occasions but the last three Leinster finals were not of the same standard and its a shame Meath have fell away.
