I thought Galway could run them close but not to be. I don't think Mayo have been that good but Galway lack ideas up front and aren't near clinical enough. They've missed 3 or 4 basic points. Mayo creating goal chances at ease as well, just lack the final ball but I expect more goals.

I don't seriously think Mayo are genuinely the 2nd best in the country this year. I think this Mayo had been a top 3 side for the past 2 years, however this year they are not as solid all over the field and are behind Dublin, Donegal and Monaghan.

Galway attacking support play has been poor so far, and defensively they simply aren't treking back and are being punished by Mayo's vast experience.

Just your average connacht final.......a snoozefest...stewards are in the stands at halftime ensuring fans are still awake, the west may be awake, the rest of the country is asleep

What was expected galway were 16 points to 4 down at half time in a challenge match last weekend

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!

......for Mayo, game over Galway have surrendered Connaught again. Mayo 4 in a row. We're now down to 1 competitive province. Qualifiers throw up more exciting matches, time for a change.

I take it you don't watch any of Dublins Leinster matches then excluding Dublin v Meath games?

Comfortable enough for Mayo in the end, think they always had an extra gear when Galway got anyway close to them. Galway's inexperience really showed at times; poor decision making, getting caught in the tackle and some rash shooting. However, I think Galway, like Roscommon are heading in the right direction and both should be well capable of challenging for Connacht next year.

Congratulations to Mayo on another Connaught title. They'll be deadly opponents in the quarter-finals. Roscommon probably unlucky to have been on the same side as Mayo.

A handy win without ever getting out of second gear. Hard to know where we are at but you can only beat what is out in front of you. Poor game made worse by some poor decisions from the ref in my opinion.

Galway will definitely learn from today, but there is no getting away from the fact man on man in our full back line we were brutally exposed. They cut through our defence too easily. Had a hard time in midfield in the first half, improved in the second. Decision making poor at times also but Mayo are a class outfit, could always step it up when needed. Good luck to them.

Poor enough quality match apart from a few flashes here and there .Johnny Duane a huge loss for Galway in the full back line .

I can see the Tipperary full- foward line causing the Galway backs a lot of problems if Mullholland does not make changes.
