But yet ye can spend significant money on a stupid looking bus, Sponsorship money or not! It could of been put towards a makeover for Hyde Park for instance since it cant host a connacht final anymore!

You need to take a look at the facts with regards the bus which was not bought but leased which is coverd by sponsorship. When the lease is up Roscommon county board will own the bus. There's a lot of forward thinking behind it which all county boards could take a look at in order to offset the high costs of bus hire for county teams. Deal in facts Tizcold

I think Galways talented forwards will test Mayo backs, if Mayo have serious aspirations for rest of summer they will have to show a better defensive unit than they have all year

I'm not so sure that Galway will do it on Sunday, but Mayo really have to find a way to deal with sides that drop a lot of players back behind the ball. It happened against Tyrone in last year's All-Ireland semi, Derry in the league semi this year, and Roscommon in the Connacht Championship a few weeks back, and each time, Mayo have struggled to deal with it, often pumping in long balls to forwards ill-equipped to win that type of ball.

Mayo by a couple of points.

As I said before the Roscommon game, a 1 point win is fine.

Galway to make a game of it for 50 mins but Mayo to pull away in last 20. Mayo by around 4 or 5 points.

Win or lose Mayo will not win sam this year. This should be their biggest game of the year because it would be 4 in a row and a bit of history. realistically its the only bit of silverware they will get this year. If the do scrape past Galway they should count their blessings that they were on top in the province over the past few years because i think this team is coming to an end and Galway/Ros will put it up to them over the next few years.

Mayo by 5 or 6. Which in the modern game passes for a tight match.

Gleebo, it is highly likely that if Mayo are to progress to the all Ireland final this year that they wont play any defensive minded teams along the way. The likely path is Galway, Cork, Kerry & Dublin. Of course stopping the Dublin attack is a complete different mater.

Still good enough to beat ye this year, and every other year since 2001. As for your good underage sides, I wouldn't be banking on success automatically following from those- ask hurling people in Galway and Limerick, football people in Galway etc, about their
sides that had more underage success than Ros, but still didn't make a breakthrough at senior level. Meanwhile, Mayo have actually won a few underage All-Irelands in the past decade, unlike Roscommon...

Count their blessings, my foot. Mayo were the best team in Connacht during that period, and that's why the Nestor Cup's been residing there for the past three years. We'll know by mid-afternoon on Sunday whether it will winter there for another year or not.

Possibly, but if they were to lose on Sunday, they could end up meeting a side like Tyrone or Armagh that would be more tactically minded than the sides you mentioned. No harm to prepare for such an eventuality.

Not so sure it was a wind-up, Seabhac. Some of the Rossies here carp about Mayo every chance they get, you'd swear that they were bitter about something...

Not at all convinced by that Mayo line up. The Aidan O Shea at 11 experiment was abandoned in last years league and has now been resurrected and The Mysterious Case of Alan Freeman continues. Still think they'll have too much, especially from 1-9, for that young Galway team.

I feel Galway are improving, but difficult to see them beat Mayo's experience and nouse in Castlebar.

Actually I think it is a good move by Mayo moving O'Shea further forward and bringing Moran in..
