The bureaucrats' defence of this year's qualifier structure is likely to centre around the calendar, spaces between matches and - let's be honest - previous concerns from us in Ulster about short turnarounds for beaten provincial finalists entering round four of the qualifiers. Treatystoner enough of that silly talk, there are only 10 football teams with any ability worth talking about, the 9 in Ulster and the Dubs. Ya ok Longford beat Derry and Laois beat Fermanagh but there were special circumstances. What we need is seeding so all 9 Ulster teams get into the last 8, and don't get drawn against each other. However the Munster championship is a complete joke, because there is seeding used in the draw there. From my time on HS these are the things I have learned. Aye, to be honest find it hard to fathom how they didn't consider the date when they were fixing the game. Same for the Tyrone match, which, if its Armagh they face will be in Omagh the same night. It has the potential for a few of the boyos out fuelled up to cause a bit of mayhem. In Antrim they stopped playing games around the days before and after as there were a few incidents for people/players travelling to games in buses etc. Offside_Rule (Antrim) - Posts: 4058 - 30/06/2014 12:42:22 1611473 Link 0 |

The matches may yet be played on the 13th which I think will happen with Kildare Down. Us GAA folk don't want anything to do with that Orange Vermin so the CCCC will schedule around it. lukewalsh96 (Cork) - Posts: 252 - 30/06/2014 13:08:21 1611503 Link 0 |
