Why are you surprised, all the Leinster teams (Bar Dublin of course) are incredibly poor. The worst province in Ireland.

It's not right having a go at Meath fans after that beating, Dublin would have beaten any team today, but they do need a reality check.

Anyone who was rational knew Meath were never going to get close to Dublin but some of the Meath posters actually thought they would beat Dublin. Meath are a division 2 side and possibly a top 10 team but that is all. Nothing wrong with that, lots of counties would like to be at that level but at the same time it is a long long way from top counties in the country.

I'll enjoy reading comments on this later :)

Well done Dublin

Never in doubt.

Exactly as I said .. If we want to batter them we will.......and we did.

Htaem....to you. Hard luck.

My last comment got jumbled up there greatly! I can take the slating we will now get from everybody but I would hope we can bounce back from this and give armagh a good game seen as some people are writing us off against armagh already shock horror

Dublin absolutely destroyed Meath in every position and probably could have won by 30pts if they wanted. Worryingly for Meath it was one of the most lob sided matches I have seen in a long time. Think it's time for new ideas in Meath and for O'Dowd to go. Dublin 10 in a row anybody?

Mod needs to go? So should the laois and wexford managers go aswell, and every other manager who's team are beaten by dublin?

Generally if something is incredible then it is by definition surprising no? Not that I agree with your assessment. A couple of Leinster teams have been wiped out in the qualifiers but then so have other provinces with far less counties in competition. Not sure how else you can compare them.

Genuinely thank you lad, I can't say enough about this Dublin team they're absolutely spectacular, best team I've ever seen.

I'm on the verge of breakdown here I'm that devastated but I have to acknowledge brilliance when I see it, well done wayno and all genuine Dublin fans, you's are a credit to the sport.

Indeed htaem I second that.
I'm just amazed but some posters that disappear after their own county been dumped out reemerge when Meath get beat. I want to say one thing Meath posters on this site haven't hid unlike a certain nordie, we came on congratulated dubs said we were poor and we moved on. And I'm sorry but the day I'll take slagging from a mayo man on how poor Meath and Leinster are is the day they put me in the ground. Again well done to Dublin. I was truly in awe of that performance today and I say it this way it would be a travesty if this Dublin team does not win back to back titles. Great teams do and you are a great team.

Great victory today against Meath.
3-20 to 1-10 is some score line.

At one stage we were 20pts up at 3-19 to 8pts.
And but for our 2 defenders going for the same ball that led to Newman's goal, the margin would have been even greater.
In fact we took our foot off the gas in the last 10mins. :o)
We also missed some easy chances at the end.

Great to see a big crowd on the HILL and 62,660 supporters in Croker.

Once again our spread of scorers was impressive with 11 Dublin players getting on the scoresheet.

I think it's going over the top saying this Dublin team are the best you've seen. I would say most judges would acknowledge they're a great side but you wouldn't put them ahead of Tyrone or Kerry teams from the noughties.

It's going to the other extreme writing Meath off. Meath had performances like this in the League and bounced back from but unfortunately they haven't been able to eradicate them. It's been a good run since the Armagh game and now there's a chance to right that in Round 4.

From a Meath point of view, I was disappointed with too many of the players. From the throw-in, Meath seemed a bit flat. The movement wasn't really there and when Dublin got a fortunate break off the post and the Meath goal was harshly disallowed, it all fell apart. Most players played badly but Donal Keoghan, Donnacha Tobin and Stephen Bray all done well and can take comfort in their performances. The rest were all below par with one or two well below it.

Also the advantage rule wasn't applied for Stephen Bray's goal. That goal would have got Meath back into it. Instead Dublin got a few scores and the game is gone. Anyway what would or would not have happened is debatable, the least players can expect is that these rules are applied fairly and consistently. Even when you're losing, it's very frustrating to see referee's get these calls wrong.

Meath were outclassed and outplayed today.

I honestly expected a much closer game.

But I'll give you a bit of advice my late farther gave me. Be gracious in defeat but also in victory.
