And then they were two as in Richie Hogan and Seamus Callanan. Hogan is probably slightly ahead but a Tipp win on the 7th could swing it in Callanan. The two outsiders would be Reid and Padraic Maher. Maher probably has too much ground to make up. Killarney.87 (Tipperary) - Posts: 2513 - 17/08/2014 19:44:52 1638044 Link 0 |

It depends on who wins it out. If Kilkenny win it, Hogan will get it, unless TJ Reid or Colin Fennelly put in a man of the match performance in the final and Hogan is kept quiet. If Tipp win, Callinan will get it, Richie McCarthy has the upper hand on him but he has gone to town on teams since then and while his opponents may be classed as being poor in those subsequent games, he can only play what's in front of him and his scoring rate, particularly goal scoring, has been phenomenal. If he is marked out of it in final and Tipp come through, then Padraig Maher, Bonnar Maher and James O Dwyer are in with a shout. pj_mcmanus (Limerick) - Posts: 431 - 19/08/2014 10:52:55 1638741 Link 0 |
Ritchie, if you watch the KK vs Lim game again, I think you'll find that Hogan was far from absent as you put it. Some wayward shooting and passes not withstanding, Hogan had a very good game for Kilkenny. And if league performances are taken into account (which sadly they never seem to be) it should be Hogan's already. Heftydickonem (Kilkenny) - Posts: 175 - 19/08/2014 12:01:51 1638801 Link 0 |
It'll be one of TJ, R Hogan, Bonner or Seamie Callinan. Barring they all have stinkers on 7 Sept in which case Seamus Hickey or Richie McCarthy are in the frame. AnFearDonn (Kilkenny) - Posts: 65 - 19/08/2014 13:02:44 1638842 Link 0 |

If TJ Reid has a poor final and is shoved into the corner again then I dont see him getting an all star. tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 21/08/2014 17:34:12 1640119 Link 0 |

Well that leaves Seamus Callanan then, no one else anywhere close at the minute. 2 stunning goals last weekend to add to his tremendous year so far tipp_hurl (Sligo) - Posts: 10 - 22/08/2014 21:00:37 1640705 Link 0 |
