By Dad I'd forgotten that. And it used to show longer highlights of matches that had got less attention on the Sunday show. Great for weekends when there were 6-7 games on between football and hurling. The advent of the qualifiers means that, at the height of the season, we have double that on some weekends, so the need is ever more pressing. Why show that though, when you can report ad nauseam on rumours that some Connacht second row might be transferring to Agen? Especially when you can add to it by later reporting that it was all a rumour?!?
Personally I'd go even further and sacrifice the time given for player and manager interviews for extended highlights
