@got milk seen this post on our home page
Lads the qualifiers are different this year. Group A and B and with Leitrim in group b you can't face London or Longford.

Team you are likely to face in round 1.

Armagh or Cavan
Down
Tyrone or Monaghan
Clare or Waterford
Westmeath
Louth or Kildare
Carlow or Meath

Hope this helps only one or two of these teams from above list I would fancy us playing if we play any of the top teams we could be in for a real hiding as we got from Armagh last year

Each provincial championship has an A and B side. It's an attempt to cut gap between provincial knockout and qualifiers. It will also ensure at least 13 days between provincial final loss and Q4. Teams in the A side play rounds at the same stage as the B section earlier. Qualifiers on the A side are then played earlier as well, e.g. 1A June 21st and 1B June 28th.

Teams are already designated to a group if they lose in provincial championship.
Group A
Dublin, Donegal, Cork, Derry, Antrim, Galway, Laois, Fermanagh, Tipperary, Limerick, Sligo, London, Longford, Offaly, Wexford, Wicklow.
Group B
Tyrone, Down, Armagh, Meath,Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Waterford, Kerry, Leitrim, Roscommon, Mayo, Westmeath, Louth, Kildare, Carlow.
Provincial losers in Munster and Connaught go into Group A. (So although Kerry are in group B they will more than likely be in group A or playing one of the two teams that come out of group A)
Provincial losers in Leinster and Ulster go into Group B.
Groups cant meet each other, 2 teams eventually will come out of each group to play in the quarters.
Winners of Leinster and Ulster play the two teams that come out of Group B.
Winners of Munster and Connaught play the two teams that come out of Group A.

What's the point of this A B thing, is there any real benefits or was it brought in just for the sake of it?

and ther e is the anomily that is the all-ireland football championship.

so Tyrone,Louth, laois and Longford (who all have already won a championship game) go in to the round ONE while teams like Cork and Kerry would theoretically go into round TWO if they lose their first game.
