Good Man Lily. I hope he does you proud. I have him myself. I'm not trying to start a lovefest for Keoghan or anything like it but i do think he is one of the top defenders in the Country

lilywhite1, why would you pick a man marker in your team? Wouldn't you be better with guys like lacey, keegan, mccaffrey etc who will kick you scores?

Anyway back to the topic. David Henry from Dublin was always a player I thought was under-rated. Excellent tackler, very comfortable on the ball and a smart player.
Karl Lacey is someone who probably doesn't get enough credit for what he brings to the table. Michael Murphy also. Mark Poland is another class player who you don't hear so much about, and up to this year Mark Lynch would have been on this list too. James O'Donoghue, although highly rated, doesn't get the plaudits for the rare abilities he has. Patrick Kelly and Fintan Goold from Cork too. Fionn Fitzgerald from Kerry. James McCarthy from Dublin is another, as is paddy Andrews.

Conor Maginn from Down. He goes through a serious amount of work, wins breaking ball, takes a point well and can score goals. He's a tough wee nut as well!

Damo... you beat me to it

Dean coming into fitness is a massive boost to Dublin

He got 1-9 the other night... first game in 7 months

You're spot on about Dean...

1-9 in your first match in 7 months is serious, what age is he ?

Mon Glor

He's 24 so really his best years are still ahead of him

And yes... 1-9 is some return after 7 months out injured

It's a significant boost to have him back

Correct , also his movement and reading of the game is underrated .

Donnachadh Walsh from my own County....even within our own county some supporters don't even rate him or would pick him in their first 15. I have always hated him and think he was even improved considerably under Fitz and the fitness systems laid out by Cian O'Neill. In the Dublin game last year scored one goal, set up another and was fouled for the penalty.. he's been doing that for Cromane and Mid Kerry for years... he's one class class player

Based on what I saw this weekend in the All Ireland Gaeltacht competition young Eoin McHugh has a great future ahead of him.

He was a treat to watch, fast & direct, qualities not often associated with Donegal. A call up can't be far away.

Alot of the Dubs mentioning Ger Brennan, but I'm not sure I agree. His discipline sometimes clouds people's opinion whereas I don't necessarily think that forces people to rate him as a poor player.

If you were to pick one man on the Dublin team who is a bit under-rated, it's Cian O'Sullivan for me.

Around the counties, some that spring to mind are;
Gareth Bradshaw, Galway
Conor Clarke, Tyrone
Jonny Cooper, Kerry

Who's going to start the over-rated thread and how many posts will actually make it past the admins? ;)

Ger he's Dublin's marmite , in Dublin COS is very much lauded , Regards Ger he doesnt fit the mould of the most recent Dublin type , he's not fast , would very rarely score , what he does that I like is very rarely panics , doesn't give the ball away , and rock solid in the tackle , he's a calming influence and a leader , he's two all irelands , two club all irelands and a very sound guy off the pitch .
