beat the old enemy the rossies on their home turf.
beating mayo too big of a ask but run them tight
win the Connacht juniors and take the all Ireland in that.
get at least 2 wins on the road in the qualifiers as on the road seems to be our crux.
get a run in CP and either win or a display we can be proud of.
maybe a few all star nominations and maybe mulligan getting one or the recollection he deserves

The limerick football team are gettin hints off Mayo.
Paul O connel, Conor Murray and Eoin reddin are chuckin in there rugby careers to finally land the holy grail of a munster championship for Limerick
Unconfirmed reports that John ''the Bull'' Hayes is coming out of retirement for the position of full forward.
Good luck tryin to mark him I say to our provincial rivals

Hurling: The minimum aim this year for the hurlers has to be to get over the banana skin that will be Laois or Antrim in the Leinster q final. The main aim for the hurlers this year has to be to beat Dublin in the park and reach the Leinster final. After thatv we would be in bonus territory.

Football: I would be very happy if we beat Longford/Offaly in a Q final as this is a young inexperienced team. After that a win or two in the qualifers after a respectable showing against Dublin would be seen as a decent year.

Another Ulster final appearance and a crack at Monaghan again would be nice.
Beyond that we'll just have to see. Like others I'd love to see a Donegal Dublin battle. It could boil down to being McGuinness' last game in charge of Donegal. Who knows what kind of tactics he'd employ!

A Connacht would be brilliant but as long as we get past Leitrim to give Mayo their absolute fill of it, I'd count that as progress after the 12 point drubbing last year. So a showing in Connacht and a run through round 3 or 4 in the Qualifiers would be nice.

And not see Tyrone. Ever again.

Tipperary hurling - An All - Ireland final appearance at the least - Winning it will be a bonus via front or back door.

Tipperary football - I would be dissapointed if we didnt make it to the last 16 at least giving our form in the league.A win over Cork or Kerry would be nice along the way!!!!

Football: Beat Fermanagh in Brewster by playing attacking football. Highly doubt it. If not that county board to sack baker and start again with a manager who cares about antrim football and ditches the egos.

Hurling: Bit more positive. Dream: I think if we beat Laois next sunday who are going extremely well I think we could take Wexford and then who knows, Antrim wouldnt be afraid of the dubs in a semi. Settle for: If Laois beat us then give Galway there fill of it in a Leinster Q-final then maybe win a game in the qualifiers

Hurling: Beat Antrim to win preliminary group, great chance to take Wexford in QF, Dublin in SF a harder prospect but theyll be cold so who knows. Leinster semi would be good progress. Maybe win a qualifier too.
Football: Have to beat Wicklow. good performance against Dubs. win or two in qualifiers. About all Laois football is up to at moment and for next good while to come.

We are a bit of an unknown quantity at the moment even to ourselves, if we get our best team out we could make an impact in leinster/qualifiers, we have a good young team with pace and scoring forwards but are quite inexperienced, and therefore are vulnerable especially in the 1st round v w'meath/louth.

My first aspiration would be to win the first round, If we do that and find our feet/rhythm who knows, All Ireland semi finalists would be a great year!

hurling - already we are in a battle stay in top tier for next year after 2 losses & a draw, so ambition is to beat Westmeath on Sunday and avoid relegation to Christy Ring.

football - To stay within 15 points of Meath in June. To maybe get a home draw v London or Waterford in qualifiers, the only 2 teams we might have a hope of a win against. After finishing bottom of Div 4, and with a clueless manager & many of the best players not involved/left panel during the league we are writing this year off really.

The joys of being from Carlow eh!

Ya agree with you,but maybe expectation being a little lower may work in Kildares favour,I do think they have been over-hyped in the last few years.Funny thing is,ye could lose to Westmeath/Louth,but at the same time ye could beat Meath.I would be wary should we meet for sure..
