Derry V Dublin: 2014 NFL Div 1 League final

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Looking forward to Sunday. Sorry Sean leo , looks like my last post on this put a scud on you, still we should still have enough in the tank to make this a close match. Could we have another Johnny McGurk -esque point a la 93 in the last minute to decide the spoils??!!

There is NOTHING that matches beating Dublin in Croke Park !!

It was a stroll, first half dubs were a relentless point scoring machine.

Impressive display from Dublin. I don't think people pay enough attention to the small margins though.

Let's not take away from Dublin's fine win today. However had Peter Harte not given the ball away in Omagh a few weeks ago, Dublin would have finished the group out of the top 4 and we'd all be here talking about Mayo or Cork or someone else and wondering if the Dubs are going as well as last year.

It really could be a different story and that's down to some very small moments.

Saying that, the second half against Cork and then pretty much throughout today's game, Dublin looked very strong.

always a good day when derry are stuffed. but all joking aside had the pleasure to watch dublin up close and personal in omagh a few weeks back and like many posters alluded to they are the most complete team ive seen in a very long time. athletes all over the place with pace a plenty and a very shrewd sideline. will dominate if they want too the next 5 years. joy to watch in full flight.

Dublin cruising. Sam on his way again.Great to watch talented players strutting their stuff but also working so hard for the common good of the team.

Former_Poster my God you're grasping at straws there... we also won our last two AIs by a point. What about it? The best team in the league has the league trophy, that's all you have to concern yourself with.

Dubs beginning to click at last.

10 different scorers and still NOT our full strength team.

Delighted with today's performance. Some doubted this team and their hunger.
Well I think they proved a lot of people wrong today.

Jim has them ticking over nicely and well primed for the Championship.

Great to see after so many years of not winning League and All Ireland titles.

Relax Floops. There are posts on here claiming that Dublin will win the next 5 All-Irelands and that they're the best team of all time. I'm only putting some perspective on things. I won't deny they are a great side but I won't agree that they are unstoppable. Great sides have lost games before.

Derry played like they'd never seen the Dubs before. Hard to figure what they were about. The Dubs just did what they'll do if they're let.

On the bright side we came out injury free (hoping Patsy isn't too bad from his fall)

Also, my £2 free bet with paddypower on Caolan O'Boyle first goalscorer + the double my odds money back special made the day a bit cheaper. Every cloud..... ;)

Congrats to Dublin. The game went pretty much as I excepted. Dublin red hot favourites for Sam now and who would disagree with that?
