Diarmuid Murtagah-Roscommon, destroyed Mayo in U21s last week, has 2-5 in 3 League starts only turned 19.

personally from my own experience there all great young hurlers /footballers until they get a fag in there hand or drink and start going out hard at it, they have been many false downs with young guys in the past from my own county that got caught up with the wrong people etc and disappeared from GAA scene , think its pointless talking about "Future players"

Glad to hear that the Jigger Mark 2 is working out for ye Herebenji although I wish he was lining out for his fathers county. Jigger Mark 1 ( John O'Connor) was a cult hero in Roscommon in the late 70's.

On the 20th March I posted about Diarmuid Murtagh of Roscommon, well ye saw his array of skills on show in Portlaoise yesterday, Par Spillane tweeted "that roscommon free taker has balls of steel" he has much more than that Pat, what a talent and just turned 19.

Pearse Hanley: I can see him being a key player for Mayo in 2020 or 21.

Shea, if Daithi Casey is 24 and has managed to stay under the radar till now, then maybe football isn't his only special talent?

These are up and young players that have really caught my eye

Cormac Costello (Dublin)
Conor McHugh (Dublin
Mckenna (Tyrone)
Diarmuid Murtagh (Roscommon)
Corcoran (Roscommon - The U21 midfielder)
Fintan Ui Charaoin (Galway)
Tom Flynn (Galway)
Donie Smith (Roscommon)
Adam Gallagher (Mayo)

Future stars
Cillian Spillane (Kerry sure to be one for the future making waves at minor already)

Ones to look out for (Mayo) over next 2 - 3 years
Stephen Coen (Mayo)
Tommy Conroy (Mayo has played in 3 all irelands in 6 months winning 2 and making significant scoring impact)
Conor Loftus (Mayo)
Cian Hanly (Mayo)
Evan Regan (Mayo)

I expect all of the 4 mayo lads listed above to make significant impact at senior within 3 years. Thankfully 4 out of the 5 are forwards !! :-)

Murtagh from roscommon is impressive alright. Although mayo put a marker on him in the minors last year and he snuffed him out. Maybe we should draft him into the seniors!
