So were down to 13 teams left! Donegal awaiting either Monaghan(who knocked out my favourites tyrone)or Armagh in the ulster final. Dublin,Offaly,Kildare and Laois left in leinster,The Usual Cork and Kerry in Munster and Galway await either Mayo,Leitrim or Roscommon in Connaught. Who's your money on and what are your predictions?

Thanks, Fionn. Apologies for not replying earlier but this thread was off the radar for a while.

Sorry got mixed up in regards to the Connaught championship! Minor is very hard to predict so I could see anyone who makes the last 8 as potential winners of the All-Ireland. Munster winners and runners up play Leinster Winners and runners up according to their website, vice versa with ulster and Connaught! Think that might suit ulster the best but in saying that Connaught always look strong at minor.

With all these good Galway teams at underage it shouldn't be too long before Galway win Connacht at senior level.

i hope youre right
we had a even better minor team last year
but met mayo in first round which went to extra time
of course that mayo team went on to win all ireland
this very good mayo senior team will hit the wall like all teams sometime
and at the moment galway and roscommon are the ones doing well at underage
at hopefully connacht will be more competeive

are this kerry minor team really that good
who are the players to look out for
i guess we have to see them playing first
many a minor team was hyped up over the years
only to fall to shock defeat by lesser rated team
minor is very hard to predict
some teams can improve greatly with more games

Offaly have a real chance of upsetting Dublin, down in Tullamore.

I fancy this current Donegal Minor side to win Ulster this year.

I seen them dominate Tyrone all over the pitch last year, but hit 18 or 19 wides from close range to lose by 6 points. I think it may have been nerves as the majority of Tyrone and Donegal fans all arrived early and packed the Ballybofey ground very early, and it was quite an Intimidating atmosphere for these lads.

This year they have addressed that scoring Issue, and looked excellent against Derry in Celtic Park. Senior star Patrick McBrearty's younger brother Stephen is a key player for them.

Outside of that, I don't really know.

Tyrone out, a disgrace that in other provinces there will be teams who can lose once or twice and still be in the competition.

I agree there,Tyrone probably better than 80 Percent of minor teams this year and there out after one loss where as lesser teams get two goes at it! Its time Ulster put a backdoor and the same with Connaught. Because it benefits the players development more with more games. Heard somewhere ulster are starting it next year? Any truth to this?

Geoff Viva2012
We could have done with a back door last year as the Donegal minor team in Ballybofey was as good as Tyrone Same old story but could not convert their chances. Missed all those frees.
Now it would be as good as idea as any if they introduced a back door for the minors. Very good idea.
