"Invincibility" - Longest run of games unbeaten

wexford definitely went unbeaten at least 20 matches between 1915 and 1918. including a walkover over dublin. it appears they didn't play the all-ireland semi final in 1918 even though they played the final so not sure what went on there. can't find any record of their games in 1919 championship.
in those years they beat the following counties: Kilkenny (2), Ofally(1), Dublin(4), Cavan(1), kerry(1), meath(2), Kildare(1), mayo(1),
Wicklow(1), Westmeath (1), Monaghan (1), Clare (1), Carlow(1), Louth (1), Tipperary (1).

After losing to Monagahan in the 2003 Dr McKenna Cup Fial Tyrone were unbeaten in 16 consecutive matches in the League, Ulster Championship, All-Ireland series and 2004 Dr McKenna Cup before losing to Dublin in the first match of the 2004 league.

they were beaten by kerry in the All-Ireland final of 1913 and also in the final (after a replay in 1914) that must have been some team to go on then and win the next 4.

Must have been. I heard once that Wexford and Dublin played a match in Frongoch internment camp in 1917 between players who had been lifted from both counties, and that many of county players were involved. It might be true actually as the Wexford team of 1916 (final was played in December 1916 internees were released) was almost the same as the 1915 team.

I know this is not County but surely Crossmaglen have some serious stats on this as well as Portumuna? I also think there is a club in Kerry called Ardfert who won the junior and intermediate all Irelands back to back. I heard also they were trained by Martin Ferris, who I would imagine is a man that you would do what he tells you!

Wexford and Dublin also drew in the leinster final in 1915 , so that year had an extra match in leinster. So I think they had at least 21 games unbeaten and then whatever they won if any in 1919.

There were probably only 2 or 3 hurling teams at senior level in Cavan over the period Mullahoran won their titles. Burt in Donegal won a lot of county championships in hurling and there would have been at least 7 hurling teams in the championship when they did. Lisbellaw in Fermanagh won a load too and only ever had the one game to do so.
