Can't wait to get the season going next Saturday, and what better way than kicking off against our friends from the Kingdom. However It looks like there will be two seriously under strength teams on the field so not sure if it will tell us a lot other than the squad strengths??

Great start to the Spring Series with a mouth watering double header.
2 tough games for the Dubs in store.
Just what the doctor ordered..!!

In the early rounds of last years league Dublin selected experimentally, the Killarney selection in particular was experimental even though Gavin lay down a marker in defense. However our two main forwards in Brogan and Connolly featured and we managed to rack up the scores with the younger Brogan in particular in great form.

This year we are almost certain to miss both players for the first few games and it will be interesting to see how we cope if we are somewhat absent minded in defense. I'd expect the likes of Maccer, Rock, Kilkenny, Mannion, Hudson, Costello and possibly McHugh to get game time but unless Cullen moves forward i would think the starting Dublin forwards will lack experience and its difficult to know whether they will run amok or struggle. Talented as they are experience is utterly valuable.

I'd welcome Alan Brogan back with open arms next Saturday night if he is ready...

A home win on Saturday keeps the competitive trend between the two counties in our favour and does the mentality of the winning side no harm.

I would anticipate big crowds for some of those games. It is hard to beat the atmosphere of playing under lights in croke park.

Not expecting a classic either Kingdomboy1 but Dublin V Kerry is always worth a look no matter what the competition!
