I think it is very hard to see past Dublin.. Cork and Kerry are in a transition phase(still good sides though),hard to see Mayo getting to three finals in a row,Tyrone and Donegal I'm not sure of yet.If Tyrone get a few more forwards, they could push on. ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 19/01/2014 09:51:31 1533588 Link 0 |
I think tyrone will give it a good rattle. Dublin are the team to beat, but they will face a couple of really stiff tests this year that will more than likely unhinge them. Revenge factors from kildare, mayo and kerry are massive. tyrone, kerry, dublin, mayo and the field, there is my ordrer Donegalman (None) - Posts: 3830 - 19/01/2014 09:51:58 1533589 Link 0 |
By the way,Mayo just don't have the forwards when it matters.. ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 19/01/2014 09:52:47 1533591 Link 0 |
2014 is Mayo's year, Mayo will finally cross the line this year. TheGateKeeper (Tyrone) - Posts: 2843 - 19/01/2014 13:06:46 1533664 Link 0 |

Dublin.....You would have to say but any of Kerry, Tyrone, Donegal or Mayo could do it also. If dubs hunger and heads right they can retain their crown. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11232 - 19/01/2014 13:51:48 1533681 Link 0 |
I believe Meath will give the All-Ireland a good go this year as they have been building steadily since Mick O'Dowd took the reigns and have a lot of new talented players on the panel. Last year we were missing impact subs but I think he has rectified this and increased the strength in-depth of the panel and is giving youth its big day in the sun. marty1981 (Meath) - Posts: 3 - 19/01/2014 15:03:29 1533703 Link 0 |

Dubs could go close to retaining Sam this year if they can avoid the mistakes of 2012 were they had a poor league campaign, they also suffered from discipline problems during that league campaign and never freshened up the team following there all-Ireland win they only really performed against Louth that summer and struggled all year. jacktheDub (Dublin) - Posts: 944 - 19/01/2014 18:19:35 1533854 Link 0 |
Tyrone my favourites for Sam.DUBs wont have the mental toughness for 2 in a row even though they have easily the strongest panel, the most resoures and by far the biggest pick of players. celt2018 (Cavan) - Posts: 160 - 19/01/2014 19:00:28 1533881 Link 0 |
Tyrone or Mayo for me. Dark horses to win their provinces and or make all ireland semi are Meath, Cavan and Kildare. That's not one word is it? Apologies. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 19/01/2014 19:47:26 1533914 Link 0 |

Interesting discussion yesterday on RTE with Oisin McConville and John Mullane which is not directly related to this post but thought it worth mentioning. Oisin is of the opinion that in a lot of weaker counties, players are now focusing on club football and not IC. As such the only counties that will win the AI are the better resourced ones i.e. Dublin, Cork, Kerry, Mayo, Tyrone (no particular order). Can see the odd upset along the way but can't see a winner from anywhere else. moylagh (Meath) - Posts: 484 - 20/01/2014 11:26:11 1534130 Link 0 |
