Predictions for winner of NFL Division 1?

Well I got that one wrong. Credit to Derry, was sure Mayo would overrun them once they were down to 14 men. But Derry were superb and the sending off didn't deter them one bit. It will be very interesting to see if they can beat Donegal this Summer. That's an intriguing game in store.

Huge question marks over Mayo after this, can they win Sam? On today's evidence I don't think they've improved from last year. But still, could be a different animal come championship.

The Master tactician strikes again for Mayo, well done Derry, totally deserved.

That's a fair win for Derry having played most the match with 14 men. Chrissy McKaigue is a colossus at full-back and Mark Lynch is a serious forward. The two wing-forwards are very lively too. I would've said Derry's two main forwards are Eoin Bradley and James Kielt but they didn't need either player today. I remember back when Damian Cassidy was manager Derry earning a reputation as a League team so it'll be interesting to see if they can carry this through to the championship.

I wonder will Horan's tactical nous be questioned again? Mayo might have had an extra man but it didn't look like it from the telly. They don't look as good as last year and I would agree they seemed fortunate with the referee's interpretation on things on more than one occasion.

Well done Derry on a deserved win and Good luck in final.
Ulsterman………… "Derry footballers are not dirty but………..it looked Fergal Doherty caught him side on shoulder"
Doherty made absolutely no attempt to play the ball and deliberately took out O'Shea. Please don't even try to justify this kind of play.

A team of Mayo's ability not beating 14 men once again throws up questions about their mental fragility; they looked a beaten side there for a good part of the match and Derry just seemed to knock all the energy and heart out of them. A lot of Mayo heads went down far too easy there when you would have thought the game was there for the taking.

Not taking away from Derry's performance but yet again Mayo have bottled it. Really don't think they have what it takes to win an AI. I've four teams ahead of them for it at this stage.

Excellent win for Derry today, and I think the players will realistically be looking at winning the National League title now. They are growing in confidence game on game, and they won't fear Cork or Dublin.

Definitely didn't think Doherty should have been sent off, It looked like a square shoulder to be fair. The response with 14 men was superb, although I did think Mayo were going to run away with it early in the 2nd half when they went a couple of points up.

Fergal Doherty was very unlucky; I thought he caught O'Shea side on to the shoulder and there was no malice or intent whatsoever. He has been superb for Derry this season. Is he out of the final now?

Dubs look well off the pace here and it will take a comeback of epic proportions to pull this one out of the fire now. Is Cluxton OK? He looks out of sorts there.

Shocking start, cork on top everywhere. The space left in the half backline for cork to attack is mad. We're coming back into it but it's a big ask, goals are needed.

Too early to say that MesAmis. Dublin starting to wake a wee bit and Cork have stopped; long way to go and if there is one team you would back from this position it would be Dublin.

Cork have started again; some awful gaps in the Dublin centre back lines. Connolly is a tremendous footballer, he is trying to play Cork on his own at the minute.
