derry are going well and its no conincidence since they are being marshalled superbly by messers mciver and tally whos trained two teams to all-ireland final appearances. its also no coincidence since there more famous forwards departed for the glens that this young derry team has thrived. i think they will give donegal their fill in the first round whom i still believe have a kick in them but i dont expect derry to hold murphy their goalkeeper looks a little edgy and i do feel murphy will bag a few. i think it could possibly be a down donegal final. tyrone continue to flatter to deceive and with the dcu guru moyna training down id give them a big chance in omagh.cork or dublin national league final. weebox (Tyrone) - Posts: 272 - 19/03/2014 17:16:32 1562140 Link 0 |
Mayo will have to beat Dublin in the next game if they do i will fancy them to win the NFL title. Would be their first NFL title for 13 years (lucky for some) The_analyser (Roscommon) - Posts: 3762 - 19/03/2014 17:36:31 1562153 Link 0 |
The fixtures are bit congested when hurling knock-out stage is on a football weekend. League Sunday should be on for 2 hours to give both an hours coverage. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 7873 - 24/03/2014 12:01:31 1564076 Link 0 |

Semi-finals are nonsense. Too many games recently where they could be spread out more and ase the weekend of the final for round 7, giving game time near championship. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 7873 - 27/03/2014 22:00:24 1566047 Link 0 |

Colm O Neill and Brian Hurley will be a handful for any FB line, two fantastic corner forwards who have it all in their locker. CaisleanCnucha (Dublin) - Posts: 1379 - 30/03/2014 15:28:02 1566977 Link 0 |
Delighted by our boys performance today. To go to Cork and get a draw is as good as a win after the events in Killarney a few weeks back.Thought the ref gave Cork 2 of the softest frees I've ever saw on the edge of the square that brought them right back into the game. Then I think he failed to penalize the Cork player for the shoulder to Mark Donnellys chest,at least I didnt see it if he did. Before this game I would have ate the hand off ye for one point so happy enough here. seanie_boy (Tyrone) - Posts: 4235 - 30/03/2014 15:50:20 1566994 Link 0 |
Great point for Tyrone. Thought they were the better side. 20 scores to 14. F gaelantrim (Antrim) - Posts: 1616 - 30/03/2014 16:12:33 1567019 Link 0 |
Very entertaining game in Cork, I thought Cork were clinical in front of goals. They are on top of the league on merit and always looked very dangerous, some fantastic forwards and with C O'neill back in they will be hard to stop this year. Our boys scraped a draw there but fair play we never gave up. Coney was brilliant, hope that game will help his confidence. We still got a lot of problems, midfield again was poor apart from Colm Cavanagh, his brother not at his best. Our defense is still very shaky but we still seem to have the game plan to outscore the opposition regardless of how many they score against us....dangerous plan with some poor man markers knocking about there in our defensive set up.We have a lot of work to do before championship time. But a point will deserved nonetheless, based on effort and determination. Game2Halves (Tyrone) - Posts: 265 - 30/03/2014 16:28:42 1567032 Link 0 |
Happy enough with the draw though felt the win was there for the taking. Some excellent points scored in the first half by both teams especially Kyle coney. Hopefully he can keep it up. Defence still a big, big problem for us at minute. Thought McCurry possibly was still affected by his head injury received in first half and maybe should have came off earlier as a precaution. tir_eoghain_abu (Tyrone) - Posts: 773 - 30/03/2014 16:34:54 1567037 Link 0 |
