Not at all touchy about Tyrone, just don't rate them. Over hyped, and many similarities to Meath over past ten years, living on past glories and believing they have right to win rather than earn it. Meath have changed that attitude but it took a long time, until Tyrone change it they will win nothing. Fact. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 18/01/2014 16:19:00 1533395 Link 0 |

Not a chance Kerry will be relegated by the way.. Westmeath are out of their depth ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 18/01/2014 16:52:06 1533405 Link 0 |
According to Royaldunne its Derry and Westmeath for the drop, make up your mind. brendtheredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 10897 - 18/01/2014 16:55:05 1533406 Link 0 |
Not really overhyped-league finalists 2013, btw only team to have beaten Dublin; unlucky as we were quite close to getting a draw in final, don't forget our last minute injury that day. All Ireland semifinalists, minor All Ireland finalists. Take that for a county rebuilding. Early season signs looking good so far. You might want to reassess; none of above happened by fluke, don't forget all our successful underage teams are coming into senior rank. Good luck RD, you'll be needing it. Westmeath and cork for the drop.tyrone win. Midlu1 (Louth) - Posts: 790 - 18/01/2014 17:14:45 1533415 Link 0 |
Ahh sure any county can make a case for itself using that logic, Meath only for diving and some seriously bad ref calls and cynical fouling could have been in quarter final, only team to really push Dublin in championship bar Kerry minor finalists two years ago etc etc, but only a fool would use that as a case for winning all Ireland , look at Kildare with their i21 side coming through and early season cricket scores also beat Dublin last year. Galway's underage success. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 18/01/2014 17:29:05 1533421 Link 0 |

Tyrone to win Division One. Derry and Westmeath to be relegated. Donegal and Meath to get promoted to Division One. tyroneed (Tyrone) - Posts: 753 - 18/01/2014 19:04:24 1533455 Link 0 |
I don't think anybody is taking offence to you saying Tyrone will be relegated (I doubt too many are concerned what you think!).Your argument is hardly convincing though. Former_Poster (Meath) - Posts: 394 - 18/01/2014 19:16:17 1533459 Link 0 |

Some nonsense being talked on here about sides 'experimenting' and 'not wanting to win the League'; that's horse manure of the highest order. You can bet that the Dublin, Tyrone, Mayo and Kerry panels, management and fans etc want a final day out in Croker and a trophy. There are only TWO main National footballing trophies up for grabs and to win any one of them for most teams is a success. Mickey Harte once said that winning breeds a winning mentality and he is spot on. Look at Dublin last year, they won the National League and went on from there. EVERY side in EVERY division will want to win their respective League finals. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9719 - 18/01/2014 19:22:04 1533463 Link 0 |
Don't remember saying I didn't want Dublin to win the league, I said that it was not a priority, winning it is a bonus but fine tuning is the name of the game! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8603 - 18/01/2014 19:37:13 1533473 Link 0 |
I would say that for Dublin winning is THE main thing and not just a bonus. I looked at a few other Dublin GAA websites and there were more than a few perturbed Dubs after the loss to DCU so let's not overdo the pseudo can't be bothered stuff. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9719 - 18/01/2014 19:44:40 1533476 Link 0 |
Get a grip Ulsterman, why on earth would I be bothered by losing to DCU anymore than I was when Wicklow beat us at a similar stage last year. These other Dubs you're referring to, are they me? No they're not, every league that has come and gone, winning it or not, quickly fades in the memory and that is the main point here IMO realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8603 - 18/01/2014 19:56:10 1533488 Link 0 |
