Dublin biting again??

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I seen Bernard Brogan beat an old man in the centre of the pitch. He beat the man with his walking stick, then went on to bite chunks out of him. Ref didn't see it though. Cccc are looking into it.

This is all very, very petty :/

It's over and done with.

No charges for anyone involved.

So why can't you all just move on ?

hill

I would say so.. Look I saw Connolly plain as day elbow a Meath player off the ball, but I never mentioned it,so I am sure a lot of players could be banned if the Gaa wanted too.

no doubt im not saying they cant
but the cccc didnt investigate any other incidents
but they did investigate this incident so to say there was no clear of evidence of tormey punching when they investigated
it was very strange, i dont know what more evidence you would need in that incident haha

its a discussion which is worth having most of us feel
as the gaa could come under fire in another match where a punch is thrown
and investigated as now nobody really knows what clear evidence means regarding suspending somebody
is video footage no longer clear evidence, isnt that a fair question ?

it does come across to me hill that there is a lack of desire to see anybody punished on both sides..especially in relation to the media..i would contrast this with the witch hunt for tyrone last year after the meath and monaghan games..double standards indeed

Look o'gara burke O'Rourke tormey MDC etc could all be banned. Connolly for off the ball incident never even mind the mockery made of the give respect get respect by him. Surely if the gaa are trying to push this then that action is bringing their effort into disrepute??? Plenty could I have been looked at just like 99% of matches build bridge and get over it.

Even if there's a lack of evidence to back up the bite claim surely the GAA / CCCC can still look into the actual melee?

Nobody likes seeing that type of thing at the end of a game, and there were three, possibly four red card offences that look like they will be going unpunished.

If the yellow cards that were handed out prevent any further action from being taken then it not only shows up flaws in the rulebook but it also demonstrates how poor some referees can be. Aside from the fish hook / bite how a ref, two linesmen, and two umpires only a couple of feet away can't see even one punch being thrown or player being flung to the ground is ridiculous.

In fairness there are posters on here that have watched the footage a few times and have only seen one punch thrown so it's not easy!

There is some amount of rubbish being spoken. Lets face it, neither Dubs or Meath are angels nor never were. What happened on the pitch stayed on the pitch.
