Our tricky assignment to MacHale park on Wednesday has become tougher. Our Captain John McManus is ruled out with injury as is another defender,Cathal Compton MOTM in the Connacht minor final last July and Ultan Harney our minor player of the year also out. Tom Corcoran our best midfielder is doubtful and our best forward Donie Smith isn't match fit.

With Kilkenny out for the season and Mannion Costello and Emmett out injured at the moment Dublin's odds of winning don't look so good now.

Tough assignment for us away to Derry now on Wednesday night, but we haven't been beaten in this competition in a long long time, so hopefully we can keep that run going. We still have a fair few lads from last years team still there so we should be strong again. It'll take a good team to beat us in Ulster.

Muckross, I do believe he thinks that he is saving money by typing less letters. But I can assure him that it doesn't cost anything to post on here.

I agree CKD, it is definitely more of a level playing field now alright.
No team could lose such talent and not be weakended by it.
Time for the other Dublin lads to try to step up to the mark now though.

For crying out loud. Is it so hard to make an effort at making yourself understood.

I do not intend reading your posts 4 or 5 times trying to figure out what the hell your talking about.

Are Mannion, Costello, and O Conghaille definitely out of the Semi against Longford? Longford would have to fancy their chances of repeating of beating Dublin again

Longford only have a few of the U21 team remaining from last year. They struggled past Westmeath,Laois who Dublin comfortably beat. Longford beat Dublin wasn't that big of shock if they repeat that result it certainly will.

They beat Dublin last year in Parnell Park so i would say it was a shock result, despite being Minor Champions. They have played 3 games, and that counts for something. Dublin had a one side match against Carlow.

Costello is not injured . Doesn't mean he will play though.

Sorry didn't mean to sound smart, Costello played for his club on Sunday. This year the team is basically the minor finalist teams of 2011and 2012 combined and look very strong ,plus a couple of players heav yet to play who are playing for St Vincents on Paddys day.

A few cracking games tonight in the champ, very hard ones to call.have a feeling mayo could turn over roscommon in castlebar if they roscommon injury list is that long, who will they get to mark on fire Evan regan?its a tough assignment for Cavan in derry but I think they will just get over the line there.kerry should of beat cork in this fixture 12 months ago and fancy them to make amends tonight.Saw offaly last week against kildare was very impressed and will be dublins biggest danger.Longford have some good players but they do things too slowly,Robbie smith good player but doesn't get on it enough, they ain't direct at all

Two years ago Evan Regan only scored 0-2 (one from play) against our U21s however it will be tougher to hold him to low scores tonight with our injury list.

The_analyser - Getting the excuses in early I see ;)

Looking forward to tonights game. In fairness if there is anything about Mayo at t his level this year we should be looking at a win with the players out for Ros. Is Compton out too?
