Best of luck to Cavan and Roscommon , obviously I want Dublin to win but I wouldn't be heartbroken to see Cavan win they deserve a break through at U 21.

A huge game for our lads, going to take an almighty effort to win it, but I have a sneaking feeling this could be our year, we'll have to do it the hard way, and beating Dublin would give us serious confidence going into a final. Taking them on in a shootout would be suicide so we'll have the defensive system in place and it may just work. I feel going forward that if any team is to beat Dublin at senior level it will require a blanket defence to curb their forwards, well we might just see a version of it this weekend and see how it fares. Intriguing game in prospect. I hope we don't stand back in awe of them.

What is the parking like around Portlaoise. I would expect a big crowd from Dublin,Cavan,& Roscommon. Going by Tullamore last year Cork wont bring many.

Parking around O'Moore park itself is pretty limited, best advise is to get there early, you'll probably have at least a 15 min walk depending on the crowd. Gardai also have a habit of prohibiting parking in certain places on the day.

All the best of luck to the young Rossies tomorrow. Will be a fine achievement if we can reach our 2nd U-21 All Ireland final in 3 years. Cork will tough nut to crack but that's expected at this stage of the competition. Some great footballers coming through here now and that can only be good news for the seniors in the years ahead.

Really looking forward to 2 big games tomorrow in Portlaoise, I am confident that Roscommon can win a tight game against Cork, Ros have a strong panel and that should stand to them tomorrow, and when the tension of the first game is over I am really looking forward to sitting as a neutral and enjoying the Dub/Cavan game. COME ON THE ROSSIES

should be great games, providing cavan come up to play football, still fancy dubs though, the other is hard to call!

O'Moore Park is horrible for parking. Inaccessible. You'll be walking from the M7 on a grass verge.

i have not seen cavan play this year yet. i dont think defence is the way for them to go, they will have to come out and attack dublin.
hope they have decent forwards, and not like meath who could not hit a barn door with a shotgun

lilypad,

Cavan has developed a system that suits them and which they have had success with. It's a winning system. Tough luck if you or anyone else don't like it. They won't be changing it anytime soon.

Some great goals too!

Terrible decision from the ref to hand it to Roscommon.

He gave them three or four very soft frees in front of goal at the start of 2nd half. But to give that last free for a pick off the ground was scandalous.

I thought the referee was very good to Roscommon. Some very questionable decisions.

Extraordinary end to Cork Roscommon. Very harsh call but the referee was correct, not allowed lift the ball with the knees.

Has to be said that was an appalling performance from the referee. He handed Roscommon the game.

Roscommon were much the better team and deserved the win, they did get a few soft frees but the one at the end i felt was a free for the initial challenge where the cork back went through murtagh without getting the ball.
