Black card rule to commence on 1 January

Mistakes like this have been happening for years but as usual there is no consistency in their resolution. In the 2000 All Ireland Minor Football semi-final between Cork and Derry, Gerry Kinneavy issued two yellow cards to Kieran Murphy of Cork but forgot to show him the red card which should have followed the second yellow. Murphy stayed on the field and Cork played out game with 15 men instead of 14, winning by 1 point. Kinneavy admitted his mistake in his match report and subsequently but at the time the GAA Games Administration Committee stated that there was nothing in the rulebook to allow them to order a replay. It was suggested that Cork might offer a replay to Derry in the interests of sporting integrity. They refused and went on to win the All Ireland title. Winning was obviously more important than sporting integrity even then! Ironic that it is now a Cork team advocating sporting justice in not dissimilar circumstances.

I see after 2 weeks of the League Kerry have 2 black cards and Tyrone just 1. Does this mean that Tyrone weren't more cynical after all?!
