Outside managers has now become the norm in relation to club football

Is it the fact that club men dont want to contribute the time voluntarily or clubs believe an outside man can get more out of teams.

Clubs must be paying out a fortune at this stage in the search for success.

The going rate for a manager in junior/intermediate would be 60 to 80 euro a night? so each club must be paying between 7 and 10 grand a year. How many outside managers was there in Monaghan last year. Thats not taking into account senior clubs who are probably paying out a lot more cash.

Managers never get paid in the gaa they say.

Thoughts

It's a bit like when Bam Bam rejoined the Dogs D'Amour after touring with the Wildhearts.

Managers deserve what they get. The prep work that goes in to each training session and game is emence. You have to consume a lot of your days in advance - not just the 60-90minutes you spend on the pitch.

Totally agree, it's not just about shouting in the dressing room and picking 15, most clubs have a club man somewhere within the setup anyway, and from what you hear from players, good training sessions and management is a vital key to success no matter what team you have
