If any if you remember the earlier editions of a programme called Heartbeat there was a rogue called Greengrass played brilliantly by a wonderful actor called Bill Maynard . I always enjoyed watching that character hence Greengrass.

After the Racehorse, although I spelt it wrong - should have two n's. Irish & Epsom Derby and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner in 2000.

The long ridge refers to my native place in Offaly. Two ice age ridges meet in the area, hence the name.
There is a ceili band of the same name.
A famous greyhound Mick the Miller was born in this area.
