Folks have difficulty in spelling my name.....but my spelling is the correct one!

So you go and call yourself Snuffleupagus

Beat me to it Breff!

My name comes from a time when I was in 2nd year in school. We had a substitute teacher who was as dozy as the day is long. She was passing around a sign-in sheet, and my friend and I were trying to think of a really outrageous name to put down to be all clever and funny and that. We came up with Bob Dolphin. Lo and behold, to our delight she picks up the sheet when everyone had signed in and asks "Where's Bob today lads? Is he gone to the bathroom, I haven't seen him since class started!"

You couldn't make it up.

We're just saying that your spelling of the name is wrong if you are in fact aiming to represent the Sesame Street character. Nothing more, nothing less. You may adapt your own moniker as is our entitlement as human beings, but in terms of authenticity, your phonetics have let you down. Just an observation.

limerick lad!

Few points:

1. Many on here having seen my moniker written down here for years could not spell it offhand for you now. Point being, where has one 'ever' seen the name 'Snuffelupagus' written down in black and white in everyday use??!! The point of that being, when I first came to use the moniker I did not know nor check for its correct spelling but simply 'wrote it as I heard it' from all those years ago!

2. You will see on the Wikipedia yourself and Breff have obviously perused that even on Sesame St there was an issue with the spelling of the name which leads to point.....

3. The reason why I said in my description 'there are many ways to spell the name but mine is the correct one'!!!!!!!!!!1

.........Why do I bother!!!

Anyway, good to see my longest serving 'fan' breff is back to following me around the board!!

I signed up with HS as part of my involvement with a particular sport in the county of residence and when I started posting here I just used what I had already set-up.

The County & Sport are fairly obvious !!!!
