Watched a documentary about William Perry AKA The Fridge.
Played NFL successfully for 10 years but has been hit with health and financial problems in later life. Think he hit 30 stone and confined to a wheelchair.

Brilliant character alright, used to watch it on the Sunday evenings in the 90's.

Replying To gotmilk:  "Next time i'm over I'll call to your house for the tea and sunday game lol. I found a pub in Canterbury eventually that was showing it. Jolly sailor or something like that it was called. Quite hard to find but might be of use to you. Wasn't an outstanding pub but at least it had the football on."
You're more than welcome bud! Yeah I've been in that pub a couple of times (it'd be easier to mention the pubs I haven't visited really). Not bad but Canterbury's got loads of decent drinking holes. Medway hasn't, well, not unless you want to spend an evening with langers in trackie bottoms and too many tattoos who want to start a row because they think you're looking at their dog ugly "better half" anyway!

Used to be said in a derogatory way meaning we have narrower backs from lack of hard work as compared to our parents. But now it is a term of endearment to us lol. 914 is area code for Westchester County, NY, where i reside."
Never heard that one! It sounds more jovial and endearing than the standard "plastic" anyway. That description used to really piss me off but these days I just laugh it off. Life's too short.

Basically i can read any game like a book plus I can also spot the trolls very easily on here especially our neighbours that like to pretend they are Roscommon posters.

Replying To MedwayIrish:  "Yeah Rye is OK but no more than that. If you're in that area again and the weather's decent maybe head one way to Camber or the other to Winchelsea, much nicer spots.

Sadly your question of where to watch the GAA in those parts has a straightforward answer - there aren't any. Even in the Medway Towns there's nothing, let alone the part of Kent (or Sussex in the case of Rye) you were in. Problem is most pubs who show sport will either just have Sky or maybe BT Sport added on, they won't have Premier because there just isn't the demand for it.

That's why I had to go to Morden (south London, bottom of the Northern tube line) to watch our game v Waterford last Sunday. Well, I could've had a slightly shorter tube trip and gone to the Alexandra in Clapham but Morden is nearer my cousins in Sutton.

I think I'll bite the bullet and subscribe to Premier full time next season which is annoying because I've no interest whatsoever in anything else they broadcast - Aussie rugby league, Swedish speedway, NASCAR, stuff like that.

So basically Gotmilk - my house! :)"
Save yourself money and buy the GAA GO app instead Medway.

Just had a look at some images (of the geographical point, I'll have to take your word for it about your own credentials!) very dramatic. Another county I've never got round to visiting but want to.
