What are the chances of Kilkenny registering a win this weekend in Luton?

Yet again here I read about kk football. Kilkenny are the only county in ireland that focus 100 per cent on hurling. What about the likes of Tyrone Cavan Monaghan Donegal who all neglect hurling? Their county boards do absolutely nothing to improve our national game in these counties

neglect hurling in Donegal ? that is why we won the Nicky Rackard on Saturday, Plus their is only 5 senior Hurling clubs in Donegal to pick from

Setanta Hurling Club 2/3 playing Fooball for Red Hughs
St Eunans Dual Club 4/5 play Football
Aodh Ruadh Dual Club not sure how many play football
Mc Cools Dual Club 4/5 play football
Burt Dual Club 11/12 play football

Their is a lot of work being done at under age level

We have the 5 above plus Buncrana, Carn, Letterkenny Geals and Dungloe all at under age

So in my eyes Hurling in Donegal is not been neglected

What's the latest in Kilkenny football for 2013? I understand you guys are in the British Junior Championship, but I've heard no news.

The boys seem to be going fairly well in the football. What is the expectation for the semi final v Scotland on Saturday?

Scotland 18 points to KK 7 should have been about 27 to seven Scotland missed a lot of chances.

Hey,

Moving to Kilkenny at the end of the month. Is there any clubs that play football and if so who are they?

Cheers

There is no tradition in football around the county, the only clubs really to play football are the ones bordering Wexford Laois. There is a club championship played in all grades. Regarding your comment about how many senior hurling clubs in north Kerry in the whole of Kilkenny there is only twelve senior clubs.

Was just looking over the results from last weekend and seen Kilkenny had a good win against Gloucestershire in the British Championship. But what I also noticed was that Paddy McGonigley from Donegal was playing CHB for yous. Didn't even know he was in Kilkenny now.

He was an excellent player for Donegal. Would have had a good future with the county team but lost the sight in one eye during an unfortunate incident at a team bonding paintball trip in 2007. Amazing that he's still able to play competitive football

What is the story with Kilkenny football at present? I mean is there many football clubs in Kilkenny at present?

railyard would be the most notable club to play football, kilmoganny, glenmore, mullinavat and muckalee would have very good teams and players also. it happens early in the year which is not good. Think the Railyard enter the Carlow league and if I'm not mistaken are doing quite well in it.

Railyard have become the first club in Kilkenny - other than Glenmore - to sit atop the football pile in almost 100 years.

that is for sure. Railyard are a thriving club and I hear there underage structure is very progressive. A pity a few other clubs don't invest as much time in Football.
