Snuffys favourite 'YouTube' tunes whilst on HS!

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

These are some of the best clips i listen to whilst posting on HS, in no particular order!

1. 'nothing but the same old story' - Paul Brady with Donal Lunny (absolute class).
2. 'bean Phaidin' - Planxty (Donal sings one of my favourite sean-nós songs).
3. 'the return from fingal' - Morga give a good rendition of this reel followed by 'Drogheda Lassies' and 'Trim the Velvet' (Corrs do OK with this one too!)
4. 'the streets of Derry' - Cara Dillon with Paul Brady (caramel on gravel - perfect!)
5. 'the shaskeen' - Young Fergus McGorman on flute at Comhaltas. Craneing in piper style like matt molloy.
6. 'thank you for the days' - one and only Luke Kelly (enough said!)
7. 'schooldays over' - Luke Kelly (enough said AGAIN)
8. 'blood of Cuchulainn' - from The Boondock Saints some might recognise it.
9. 'land down under' - Men at Work classic pop
10. 'somewhere only we know' - Keane
11. 'july' - mundy
12. 'James Connolly' - Johnny McEvoys version.
13. (The pursuit of) 'Farmer Michael Hayes' - Planxty. a mighty true story of chasin the tipperary farmer all over the country and the only place he was sold out was on a galway island (The term: "as high as hayes pot").
14. The New Policeman - dunno who the lad playin this reel is. Type "The New Policeman - M&E Irish Flute" to find it!
15. 'midnight walker' - Davy Spillane, great job on the pipes.

Anyone got any other good tunes?!

Regards,
