I'd say we had Shane Reck down to mark Dónal Burke although if Burke does start as named as centre-forward, that would put us in a bit of a pickle; have to man-mark Burke but don't want your centre-back following him as his job is to hold centre. Mind you, if we start Chin at centre-forward, they have a similar problem to us, especially if they want Crummey to man-mark him.

No Jippo means we have a real lack of height in defence and Dublin have both Ronan Hayes and Danny Sutcliffe in there; we only really have MOH and if he starts at full-back, then whoever will end up marking Hayes and Sutcliffe will end up giving them a few inches in height. Mind you, I had always thought that Sutcliffe was more suited to wing-forward than corner-forward and someone like Damien Reck could have Hayes going backwards more often than he goes forwards.

I think it'd make sense to test out O'Donnell given this is his first game back; Mac has never given him any issues really so we may as well try and go for speed. Might make sense for whoever plays there to drift out the field and try and drag O'Donnell out too

Oisin injured, him and paudie as well as the 6 or 7 list would make our squad very strong

Replying To Fulgrim:  "Btw what's the story with Oisin Foley? I happened to be watching highlights from last years' game against Kilkenny, he was good in that game. Is he injured long term or gone travelling?"
Long term injury. He's not expected to feature this year.

Personally think he's the complete forward and criminally underated by Wexford people

Replying To Viking66:  "Eoin Ryan definitely earned his chance over the Walsh Cup and League. Carley is a good player but only started 1 League game. I imagine our training games are ferocious with competition for places. As it should be."
I know but Carley did really well against Cork I taught in a team under pressure, I agree Ryan earned his chance but Carley if he was available for earlier games in the year could have too.

What gone wrong with wexford underage hurling?it very serious in my opinion.no point having new development if you don't have a team that going to fill it. Under 20 hammered by kk, drew with Laois at home and now our minors getting a run around from Dublin.very disappointing and things not looking good for the future

That first half performance was utterly shocking. The lads looked nervous tbf but there was no gameplan from the sidelines other than hurl your own ball. Those days are dead and especially when your not blessed with the biggest of lads, have to be clever when in possession which they were and we were certainly not. Strong finish which was promising and we only started to hurl with 15 left. Give the boys credit they stook in with it but in reality, very limited bunch.

No harriers no Martins on that minor team. Totally nuts

Why is it nuts? Are you blaming the individual clubs or the Minor management?

Watched the game. Plenty of positives for the first game. Dublin have been very good all the way up. They are always good at minor especially. Thought the game was very fast paced compared to the Munster minor games I have watched this year. Dublin were excellent in the half back and half forward lines, and made their extra men tell especially in the 1st half. We finished strongly though. Remember there's no jeopardy in these games. You either go into a QF or SF.
Tomorrow will be the same kind of game. Dublin will bring war. And big men to fight it. That's how they won the last 2 years against us at Senior. We will have to match that, as the young lads did today in the 2nd half.
