Can anybody tell me what the status of these comps is?

My understanding is that the provincial final losers play a round robin with Galway and the top two qualify for the semi-finals v Limerick and Wexford. Kilkenny beat Clare in first match and Galway still have to play Clare.

Lim and Wex in semi , they'll play winners of round robin between Kilkenny, Galway and Clare.
Kilkenny beat clare
Galway beat kilkenny
Clare v galway next wk.

Would be surprised if at the end of it all it's not a Limerick v Wexford final. Maybe some of the Limerick posters on here would be kind enough to shed some light on their minor team. A couple of lads I know have said they have a very handy panel.
Our lads in the Leinster minor final were excellent with 3 or 4 serious prospects.

It's under 17.Anything can happen basically .
I wouldn't rule out Galway or Kilkenny, both of whom looked excellent for spells today.

This on paper is the best minor panel Galway have had in a long long time........

It is a fair good panel. but our full back, a mainstay, is injured, for the last few games. Cathal O'Neill is an exceptional player and a fine free taker. It looks as if we will be playing Kilkenny as things stand. I'd prefer to be playing them rather than Galway, who looked good yesterday, although I only saw the last ten minutes of the game.. I feel Wexford are the best team left in it, going on the highlights I saw of the Leinster final.

The scoreline flattered Kilkenny against Wexford. I cannot recall a Wexford minor team being technically superior to Kilkenny and I have been to many a game.
I don't know if there is a YouTube thingy available of the whole match but would be well worth a view if there is.

After yesterdays result Kilkenny are safely through to the semi finals, and if Galway can avoid being beaten by 5 or more points to Clare then they will go through too.

I presume Kilkenny have to play Limerick and either Galway or Clare against Wexford

My big hope right now is that we have one team there on hurling's biggest day.
My big hope before the Leinster final was that we'd bring home 1 cup.
I'm not even daring to dream on the first one.

That's more like it you'd prefer to play KK rather than Galway!! It will be a KK v Galway Final anyway.

It will give greatencouragement to all Limerick and Wexford followers that you have made that prediction.

How are Kilkenny "safely through to the semi finals" after losing? Have they already played and beaten Clare?

Yes KK 2-14 Clare 0-13. KK have played 2 = 2pts +4
Galway played 1 = 2pts +3
Clare played 1 = 0pts -7
Top 2 out 3 go through to Semi Finals.
Galway 3-16 KK 2-16.

I think you will beat Tipp in seniors. Davy is really turning into a master tactician!

Think the minors are more likely, but I will be gladly surprised!

the current format is madness, teams who lose provinces have massive advantage. Galway should be in Leinster for starters to level the playing field like the seniors.

Correct. Crazy system, last Sunday was Kilkenny's 7th game but it was Galway's 1st.
Daft.
If Galway seniors and U20s are in Leinster why aren't their minors?

Bit of a novel idea this, but maybe the priority should be to promote and develop hurling in the other Connaught counties.
No better place to start than at the schools.
